I would go so far as to say "authentic" is one of those terms that best case mean absolutely nothing and denotatively are actually a bad thing. Like when the doofuses on HGTV tour a house that's falling apart and say it "has character" to put a positive spin on the fact that it's falling apart.

I mean, if I had one of those flat grills, there would be no problem. It's the lip on the skillet.

I prefer pork over beef.

Iced coffee is so yuck. I vastly prefer espressos/ristrettos (hot, no milk, no sugar) or cappucinos (hot, with sugar) over iced coffee.

I generally don't like ice in my drinks. They water down the taste. If the drink requires ice, one or two cubes are more than enough. In non-alcoholic drinks, I ditch ice entirely.

KFC is fine (may eat it once a month, though)

Cheese on a number of things is a turn-off to me (I detest cheesy bread).

I don't care for eggs much (once in a while, but usually part of something bigger like a breakfast taco or burrito, with other things alongside it).

I don't get the love for avocados. They're fairly tasteless to me.

I used to not be a fan of iced coffee. Now that I live in a hot climate where the coffee is generally much stronger, I prefer it.

Besides the pork over beef this is real

I can't stand ranch, bleu cheese, sour creme, mayo... Basically any creamy white sauce/dressing. Coincidentally. Depending on how masked the flavor is, I can tolerate mayo-based condiments, but generally I avoid them anyway. Just tried Raising Cane's for the first time this weekend and their sauce is ok. But base mayo is always a hard pass for me.

On a related note, I think dipping hot wings into ranch or bleu cheese is awful. That's like putting ketchup on a steak or something. Defeats the purpose and flavor of the hot sauce.

You should be, because it makes for a delicious taco.

My food opinion is that the only good use for olives is oil. Every other usage is either nasty or replaceable.

For me, some $2 pasta sauce from Prego can be just as good as the fancy homemade stuff that takes 10 hours to make. I have had other people's great stuff from their grandmothers from the old country, and I have made it myself. And now the time and effort put into that stuff is not worth the moderate flavor boost. And sometimes it is not even a flavor boost.

McDonald's is freaking delicious. I don't eat their meat since I don't eat much meat, so this is just about their fries, but they are awesome. While we are on fries, the best fries happen to be at Hooters. Well tie between the two.

Moving on to the delicacies of the rich and the famous, I find them overrated. Lobster, the sea bug, was given to the poor and inmates. Now it is treated like a luxury. And I will say it is good, I am not knocking it. But you can make some white fish taste just like it if it is cooked right. Then things like escargot and caviar take away their status, and offering a date snails and raw fish eggs cut out of the womb of the fish's mother would get you slapped rather than a thank you. Real talk, the entire process of preparing veal and foie gras is sickening to me.

What are yours .

This isn't an opinion and is objectively wrong. You absolutely cannot do that unless you're using some kind of chemical flavoring.

Maybe they mean the vegan version of things. But yeah, plenty of food most people eat has a place in a vegan diet.

Hell even my favorite pizza and pasta dishes would work with a vegetarian diet if I wanted to pursue one.

• Yellow mustard is anal paste
• Pickles are nasty
• Soy sauce can be a useful ingredient but by itself tastes like salt water
• Olives are disgusting and good only for their oil
• Most steamed vegetables are inedible
• Lobster and crab can be delicious but butter does not complement them well.
• Bland food and drinks are a waste of time
• No meat is above being made better by a sauce of some kind
• Gravy is pointless
• Rye bread is gross

pretty on board with this one. i hate the majority of cheese and am super picky when it comes to the stuff i like. mozzarella is mild enough to where i'm ok with it and some ultraprocessed stuff like cheezits and doritos are fine.

Impossible whopper ain't bad. I tried to test the claim it tasted exactly like a regular one

False but it is pretty close. But as someone who eats meat it's not worth the higher price

I guess that might be true if you have all the other stuff on a burger. I only do mayo ketchup and cheese though so you definitely taste the cheese

Sushi really isn't good. I love seafood but sushi has to be the most overrated food currently in existence. It's one of those things that's tolerable as long as you have the right sauce that people get with their friends to feel like they're on Fear Factor or some shit, then brag to everyone for a week about how they ate sushi or like sushi in general.
