You can't give it away or make any money on it.

I assumed that meant getting the food for free and then selling it to someone else.

That's cool, I'll threaten to leave a poor yelp review and we'll see how the management/owners feel about their employees refusing to serve a customer.

Yeah, that kind of shit doesnt work in good places.

I'll have the people that come to see the magic act pay me in assorted items they want to bring in that are equal in value to what I think the show is worth. Then I'll sell those items for money. There, I didn't make money on it; I bartered for goods which I later sold for money.

Doesn't matter what you do. If you get any money from this in any way it disappears including gifts since that's still profiting. There's no possible way to profit from the free food.

Nah, you said you can't make money off the food. I didn't. Can't change the rules now since I beat your system. I already looked the other way on this 'disappearing food' nonsense.

Although I currently only spend <$100 a month on food, if I had free food, I'd be "buying" a lot more expensive food.

The average person in the U.S. spends 400-500k on food in a lifetime. No matter how much money you make you'd save far more taking the food option and just using your regular income for anything else.

I'm sure you are, just pointing out it's nonsensical.

That's 400-500k for one person over a lifetime.

To feed a family over a lifetime you'd be looking at millions most likely depending on how many.

But hey, enjoy that 75k.

Easily the food. Much better value. I spend about $100 a week just on myself at the grocery store. Thats $5200 in a year. Thats 14.4 years. Besides if it was free Id naturally eat more expensive stuff on a regular basis so in reality Id probably hit that $75,000 value in like 10 years.

The food is a no brainer for me and Im decently older. I turn 48 in a month. Its still a great deal. The younger you are the better deal this is.

Food. Even if you usually eat cheaply enough to the point the $75k seems tempting, you can easily up your food game and go for fancier/healthier stuff that would normally be a lot more expensive, and that will easily add up to way more than $75k in just the span of a few years. Someone really going gung-ho on this offer would probably break $75k in savings even before one year.

It's still going to result in far easier day-to-day living, simply because you can take food out of your (personal) budget.

Money. It's easy enough to turn that into even more money.

The food would save a lot of expenses, but I think investing should give you more money faster than the food pays for itself.

Of course you could get even more lavish food and the market could be awful for a while, so your milage could vary. I'd still rather take my chances with the cash, though.

Food. I spend about 5k year in food.

But I rarely go out, I cook most of my own meals, and I don't really eat what I want, I eat what's cheap and relatively tasty.

In 25 years I might still be around, hard to say. But at least I'll eat good.

We'll see about that.

Well, all of our managers used to back us whenever we told anybody to leave.

You see, when you have Michelin stars and a kitchen entirely comprised of award winning chefs, not to mention a 6 month or more waiting list and a deposit and credit card details needed for all of your bookings, nobody tends to give a shit what Kradek thinks on Yelp.

Occasionally, when told that they needed to leave, people would ask to speak to the manager. When they explained that they had been told to leave, the managers stock response would be, Then why are you still here?

If they didnt leave after that, which was rare, the police were called.

If i become a food reviewer, and my review generates revenue, i should still get my money right? Since the money is not from the food itself, but the reviews.

60 max for me. Ill never have a job again or money for retirement, plus my health will be abysmal by that time and my only remaining reasons for living (mother and two cats) will be gone by then.

I could eat that amount of food in 2 years for sure. A single high quality pizza is like $25-30 now. A nice restaurant dinner for 1 would probably run near $80-100 if you treat yourself.

All the random places you could stop for a quick bite, like at the beach, a concert, sporting events, a long walk, the mall, etc.

Because it is free, you now have the ultimate reason to try even more new foods.

And $75k degrades in value every year.

And $75k degrades in value every year.

I mean its simple logic. As the cost of living crisis worsens, the ability to get food for free becomes more valuable over time, while the 75k up front does the precise opposite.
