Lots of people think who wins elections is all about policy, but in the real world (not CE), nobody cares about policy..... People just get told by their friends (or Tiktok) that someone is good or bad and then they believe it until their friends (or Tiktok) tell them something else.

In other words, people influence each other..... If someone is politically outspoken, their main influence isn't their vote but the effect their voice has on the much larger number of people listening to them.

This is why I'm enthusiastically in support of Biden..... But, not alot of other people have that same enthusiasm. People here will admit they're going to vote Biden, but it's a "hold your nose and vote for Biden" kind of thing. I don't think that level of enthusiasm is going to move the needle in November...... If EVERYONE were EXCITED to vote for Biden, if they were passionate about it, and they talked to other people around them, that passion would rub off, and we could beat Trump. But instead, it's like if you're enthusiastic about Biden, if you earnestly make a case for him, people are cynical to the point of calling you a gimmick.

It's real bad for the whole world if Trump gets elected... We could lose almost a century of civil rights. The world will be more unstable, women, immigrants, LGBT people, and democracy itself will be in immediate danger. The entire left-of-center must unite to prevent it.....

So much opposition to Biden is the product of insane myths circulating social media, like that hes a dementia patient acting as a sock puppet for nursing home aides who has a magic solve everything button he wont press for some reason. Please I'm begging you, don't be a "hold your nose" type voter. Be outspoken, be unembarrassed about supporting Biden, be proud of it. It's the best way we can influence people to vote with us. It's the only way we'll win. I post charts, figures, arguments to use against conservatives all the time... If you want any just DM me!

Biden is the hold-your-nose candidate. Hes going to win in November just like 2020 because hes the anti Trump. He wasnt nominated because he got people the most excited.

Please, please be both.... Be excited for Biden!!!

Even if you disagree with some of his policy choices - and I do! - if you find yourself falling into this kind of conspiratorial narrative. everything could be solved instantly and the leader just wont do it - this is rarely true, it's important to catch yourself from doing that

I think a lot of people have allowed social media reward mechanisms to erode their critical thinking defenses against this kind of super duper simplified rendering of the world. that doesnt mean you have to support everything Biden does..... but the world really is complicated.

Biden is the single most successful and progressive president on policy in over half a century at least. The idea that we shouldn't be excited for him really boggles my mind!!!

Again it can't happen under our voting system, USA will be a two party system until armageddon or the constitution gets rewrote. I wish more people studied governmnt and civics in school, believing we can get away from the two-party system is a really well intentioned but destructive belief,

Yes.
I have questions and concerns about his age and how he presents himself when he speaks publicly but I fully believe his mind is still intact.
You can just tell he knows what he wants to say it's just sometimes he can't put it into words.

I don't know if I can be overly enthusiastic for Biden, but I will say he's been a good president - better than I thought he'd be. For me, voting for him again is an easy choice. No, he's not my ideal candidate but if you're waiting to vote for your ideal candidate you're going to be waiting a very long time.

It can't happen in a first past the post voting sytem. Believe me, my heart is with you, I wish it could happen, but it just can't happen here because of the way the constitution is written. I wish we lived in a parliamentary system or a system with proportonal representation but we don't. voting third party will always be useless in Murrica.

Yes because the only realistic alternative is Trump winning, assuming no one dies or anything. Anyone responding otherwise can fuck off because they're either selfish or dumb enough to be a Republican or so much of a hotheaded tool that dumbfuck Republicans can easily manipulate them.

Biden is alright but I mostly dont want Trump

Biden keeps the door open for an actual left wing candidate eventually, I fear a Trump victory that somehow does not led to fascism at least leads to the overton window moving even further right and makes progressives even less electable

The anti-Trump coalition is the most powerful coalition us democrats have ever assmebled, I just don't know if it will be enough if Biden is bleeding support around the margins from black/hispanic voters...... I see a lot of posts that say "I am voting against Trump," but please, I'm begging you to reconsider your opinions on Biden too. He's done SO MUCH good and yes, I think he's been very flawed on Israel, but he's trying real hard for a ceasefire there too. He isn't cool like Obama, but he's been a DANG GOOD president!

There's only two things I don't like what Biden has done is which is his handling on Foreign Policy (Handling the Israel and Palestinian conflict) and how he we were forced to pull out of Afghanistan and left it for the Taliban to control (I realize this is really Trump's fault and is inherited). I am not a negative person and I always look at the positives more. Biden has done domestically a great job with such a polarizing Congress to get things progressive. And I'm no fool to think that a few negatives will easily sway me from seeing he's currently the best choice.

My vote goes to Biden.

Yes, because I'm not a fucking idiot.

I have my criticisms of him, however he's done a lot of things that either haven't happened in decades or has never happened (first POTUS on a picket line). He's done a lot of good and been disappointing sometimes, definitely one of the better President's in my lifetime who seemingly gets the least amount of credit for what he has accomplished compared to the rest I'd be naming.

Yes I agree and no. We left it to be ran by a terrorist group and the civilians or Afghanistan that allied with us in a sense were abandoned. Personally, I met an Afghani teacher who hated how we just left the country in that state. Her sisters and nieces are oppressed in that regime and the US troops were the impede. I empathized with her about it.
