Didn't really like how 8 felt when I tried it (or what I know from it with the junction system and the enemies leveling with you), but I'll probably beat it too eventually. Not remotely calling it bad, but it was honestly the third of the three that I played and I would unequivocally put it as #2 of the era behind 9 (I played 8 first, then 9, then 7). 8 was... eh. Lower tier C. Next one I'll beat is FF9. Didn't really like how 8 felt when I tried it (or what I know from it with the junction system and the enemies leveling with you), but I'll probably beat it too eventually. I only got an hour in just to see what the game was about. Your party's level is kinda irrelevant for the most part, all of the power comes from your junctions. You don't really get tons of level ups specifically, so I wouldn't worry about it unless you grind away. In addition, don't bother drawing tons of magic ~~most of the time~~ as it's way better to refine it from cards and items. --- Fan of metal? Don't mind covers?
