MZero, I know you're not around right now, but I'd like your earnest thoughts on whether you think Sultan is town or trying to emulate his town self as scum.

Because I'm really on the fence with Sultan here

He hasn't really pinged me one way or the other yet

Sultan usually has good reads that tend to get buried in the thread at times because of the way he posts. I want to get him 1v1 so I can pick his brain without interference. If he's town I'm sure he'll have some good insight that will be easier to glean without distractions, and he's not the best at faking it as scum iirc

I dont have a town read on any of the 3 nessisarily. But I also don't have a scum read on Peaf or Chris. I do have inclines of thinking Chris is Scum by playing similar to a couple Scum games on MU but idk.

I'm trying to fly to Toronto today for a work conference, but winter abruptly went from mild to murderous and my flight keeps getting delayed.

Whoever will be snowed in together with me? One of my many enemies, rivals to lovers? One of my childhood mafia friends? What are you doing, step-Sultan?

And so on in that manner. Jokes aside, I really do think it will be easier to find scum at night here and bring in a high pressure "shun this guy fellow mean girls" attempt the next day. We only have a few scum players psychotic enough to be high energy all night. Hook those red flags to mSimpson?

Aight. I doubt there's gonna be much of a fight between Death, Corrik, and Isquen, so let's look at the existing pairs:

Red and Ulti
Peaf and Dumey
Sultan and MZero
FD and Kirby
Lea and JC
Chris and Lopen

How does everyone feel about these? Any proposals to shuffle the pairs around?

Red and Ulti is still a stinker to me. I'd rather that Red be one of the unpaired ones here.

I would prefer every pair break aside from Lea and JC tbh

For two I think if we disband all pairings you'd find scum quickly by noticing standards or lack thereof in finding mates.

Initially I do think that Mzero and I started as a joke but when he said his true Intentions for it, it came off super genuine and town like. I could see some people doing that to butter me up pocket me but I don't think that is Mzeros intent.

I highly encourage everyone who is remotely distrustful of their partner to break up tomorrow before the final 12 and take one of these three poor souls under their wing.

Though I do get your sentiment and idea here

Anyway I'm going to watch 1pm est tomorrow closely for break ups and re evaluate then.

I personally do not trust mzero, Sultan. His logic for pairing with you is good but it almost makes too much sense-- it is almost too calculated for a guy like mzero who tends to just kinda gut stuff. He has also been a bit dismissive of attacks on players like Kirby "I see Kirby is being attacked for being Kirby again" while also joining in nitpicking Dumey's post earlier without actually joining in the attack.

Be sure you trust him. I am sure Corrik Death or Isquen will all go to bat for you and you'll not remain on the market for long.

My only question about Dumey's "plan" is when he came up with it. Because Peaf was the one who extended the invitation first, so if it was a trap for Peaf then I would have expected it to have been extended by Dumey. And the date was confirmed with:

I think the only "nitpicking" I did in regards to Dumey was explaining that the math doesn't work for leaving two unpaired, and I don't think being bad at math is scummy so of course I wouldn't attack him for that

Anyway, I was gonna wait until D2 to bring this up just to see what Lea thought, but might as well talk about it now.

Anyone else feel uneasy about JC? As if he were a little too desperate to find someone to hook up with once the pool started dwindling? He had one good post about Dumey vs. Chris, but otherwise, most of his content has been skirt chasing Lea and even proposing to Isquen at some point. In particular, his last couple of posts have more or less been hard-focused on finding someone to pair up with.

Am I crazy or is anyone else feeling the same way?
