Though Isquen and JC can be swapped. Chris probably gets way more out of JC than with Isquen, but JC and Death both can get a lot out of each other.

Which I guess does point me towards Lopen now.

I wouldn't mind dating Death. I think Death does a good job of interpreting what I'm saying as I mean it, but not always coming to the same conclusions, so I feel good about actually bouncing ideas off of him.

I just wouldn't want to abandon Peaf without thinking he has a realistic chance of grabbing another partner. I wouldn't want Peaf dead over someone like Chris or Corrik at this stage.

( Not to say I wouldn't also just enjoy talking with Peaf. Just entertaining other ideas. )

Corrik - k, he's famously immune to my charms, can't imagine a non-adverserial and/or inactive chat. He's so tsundere.

Death - f, he's good at grey rocking my scum radar but I'd enjoy getting to know him better

Sir Chris - k, last few times I tried to figure out his alignment it went...poorly. Aside from that he's obviously charming

If I'm to take your list somewhat seriously. You date Lopen. Two of Death/JC/Isquen pair up. The remaining one of those three gets to choose between Corrik and Sir Chris.

Are the unpaired correct?

Might be more interesting to think in frame of reference of who the final 3 will be between. I don't think most people have a full 3 people they're willing to put on the chopping block.

I would like the unmatched final 3 to be Lopen/Corrik/Chris. I think something like Isquen/Corrik/Chris doesn't resolve as interestingly and just ends up being Isquen throwing a date at one or both of them.

I also think there could be an interesting play where FD breaks up with Kirby and dates Isquen instead. And final 3 is Lopen/Kirby/Chris. Make Lopen either fight for his preferred lynch between the two of them, or if Lopen can't get through to either of them, they just pair up and doom Lopen. That could be a very spicy end of day.

If final 3 was something like Death/JC/Corrik, I think I'd be annoyed and fight for some shakeups. I'm okay with putting Corrik in these end of day scenarios because he hasn't done much of anything so far, but he's also not done anything to make me think he's scum, so it'd literally just be a RL.

There's kind of a weird thing here with imagining a final 3 unpaired.

Obviously the optimal result is all three are scum so scum has to choose between the three of them to die.
But getting two scum in the bottom three is actually maybe worse than getting only one. Two scum can come up with an excuse to save each other. One scum has to convince one town to save them.

I'm not advocating for purposely putting town in the final 3 or something, but it's interesting to consider that being mostly right could actually be a bad result.

What if the last 3 are all scum.

I said 3 scum is optimal.

3 town only happens if two people are stubborn and don't date. That's just against the spirit of the game unless it's an honest mistake due to deadline shenanigans.

Can someone give me the case against Kirby because I've really liked his posts so far. I don't want him on the chopping block today.

Not that it matters too much I guess. I just reviewed his posts and I'm still satisfied with my town read on him so Kirby is safe enough for today.

So far I'm seeing just the usual Day 1 headless chicken schadenfreude going on. Ulti taking FD's joke too seriously, Lopen raising suspicions over the usual analytical people poring over this game's unique mechanics, Peaf coming in surprisingly aggressive, Dumey doing Dumey things, etc.

Kirby has had a lot of non commital posts like this one Ulti posted. A lot of his stuff has been just talking.

Granted that's Kirby most games but yeah I don't know he seems more passive than usual as far as actual suspicions go. Lot of talk about the format and stuff minimum actual suspicions given.

For a good example of why to suspect beyond Ulti's post cited I don't know the point of the shipping angle-- it doesn't really seem useful. Feels like a way to fake being involved without actually adding much.

I mean, sure, put me in a ring with Lopen and Chris, even if it means I end up getting the axe. I honestly couldn't care less as long as we get meaningful content from this day by the end of it.

But like... for real, have Ulti and Red even done much today? Feels like they just hooked up and are just sitting back doing nothing. I don't like that.

I disagree with the frame of mind that only the final three are relevant, though. We ought to consider which pairs give us the best synergies for the night phase. If we're unlikely to hit scum this day, especially if they're all in the early pairs, then let's play safe and opt for a strategy that puts us in a better spot for D2.

I know FD and I can likely get a lot of work done overnight, especially with a flip to go off of. I don't necessarily trust him yet, but we're both fairly analytical and can glean much not only from the game but from each other. By contrast, I feel like Lopen and I disagree with each other more often than not. I don't mind pairing up with Chris, but I feel like he's better off on the offensive with grilling someone else.

Red has done literally zero

Ulti has done a bit. He's been in and out. Probably above a good one third to one half of the game in terms of meaningful activity
