I'm not sure I can actually tell town Ulti from scum ulti behavior anymore. I can only see him as the 4th alignment

Ulti has scumtells. Ulti will claim I just suspect him always and get lucky but my ability to catch him is well above average and it's not because I suspect him every game (I do suspect him most games but usually back off before killing him if he's town)

Maybe someday people will believe me on it

Great job bringing it home team. Beating a scum team of Corrik/ulti/death/the unlynchable ctes was no small feat.

Jc town mvp. And not to toot my own horn but turning the tide from sbell to death was big and I took some flak for neighboring ulti and I think it was a good call once you know it extended beyond n1.

if I lived I also was convinced Chang was the last scum. And I was wrong about Isquen too. Lessons for next time.

I think if I'm actually in the game I would suspect Chang too so no big foul lynching him there.

Although from a setup perspective I stand by scum bulletproof should not exist in a game where the doc is the vig so I feel Chang getting that much pressure out the gates was odd. It's too punishing for town for the doc to use his vig shot.

Gave me some good perspective on my own play though-- Chang was talking through stuff like I tend to and then he took some bad turns based off of poor assumptions like I tend to and then town turned on him even more. Like the mental gymnastics needed to logic Lea to be scum is too much if you're not already down the rabbit hole

I heard in dtc you almost moved night 2! That wouldve been cool.

Posting what I basically said in DTC why my mislynch day sucked and bled into the game, though:

- Co-worker had an unexpected death in the family
- I was already feeling weird because it was a year ago when my mom had the heart attack that led to her death
- Other work stressors (but that's nothing new.)

At least my D&D group dissolved this week so I dont have to worry about pesky social obligations until I find a new one!

Lynching Lea would have worked out fine, because I was wrong about everything except my ironclad belief that the game was so in town's control nothing mattered. But even then, I never would have guessed that doc saving a poison target would let them keep the poison, so I guess I'll try harder in the future.

I will say that neither dead town or scum chat accurately understood what I was thinking at various points but that's fine. More beneficial that way. Luckily JC and Wallz were there to make things less sloppy. Next time, serious mode, maybe.

I take pride in knowing my little gambit of claiming my scans as night scans indirectly prevented scum from getting the poison off since they had to strongman me instead of use it, and then death got lynched

other than that I did basically nothing but hey

Congrats town, we were pretty well aware we lost when Drath was lynched over SBell.

JC, this was your best game I can recall, hat is off to you buddy, you nailed basically everything.

I think as a scum team two things kind of got us, mostly the second. First was that that vanilla thing on day 1 actually was a town clearing, we did not know about renamed roles. We had one that was, but a role pm example of vanilla would be great. Death was fast enough to get a fake from Sultan when asked about it. I think if I had been more around I'd probably figure out everyone involved was vanilla, but that also put us in a spot where the most town looking people were all vanilla. I did correctly insist we didn't do anything to SBell because he was vanilla. MZero fooled us though we kinda thought his lack of care was because he was nothing interesting lol.

The second thing that got us was the drawn players. We all had deja vu from the team itself and I am not claiming to be the new SBell who is the new MZero because it has been a literal year since I last had a long town game. Either I'm shot early regardless of role or I'm scum, which I've been thrice in a row now. On top of that, Corrik and I couldn't be around much. I suggested pregame to do some high high high reward gambit because I knew I wouldn't be able to be around too much. No one responded though. It was a blessing to die d1 becuase at least two of the other days I couldn't even keep up without posting. My schedule is probably just to inconsistant at the moment for mafia unfortunately.

As an extra to that, I 100% fight my lynch d1 if I'm not scum and the other two candidates also aren't. I saw Wallz call me unlynchable a few times. Not to take anything away from getting me then, I didn't plan on dying, but I very purposely chose to not claim and not say anything when Lea threatened to lynch me if I didn't because I thought me dying there was a better outcome than either of my scummates. You can see telling Ulti that choice in scum chat as well. Now Corrik turned out to not be able to be around at all either, I wasn't fully aware yet at the time that would be every day, but yeah. We also initially thought Corrik got lynched because Lea was late but then Sultan explained votes counted up until the stop. Voting Corrik over Ulti was also an acitivity choice from my side, Ulti didn't look good before d2.

This was probably the best post all game that wasn't a joke post.

It's so annoying. You can't lynch the weak players because it's unfair, they get lynched too much. You can't lynch the strong players because they might get killed N1. You can't lynch the inactive players because it's too uncertain. Can't lynch Ulti or he's big mad. Can't lynch power claims, no matter how vague. Who are you even "allowed" to lynch D1.

Seriously. While we did end up just lynching who we thought was scum day 1. Meta BS arguments like that was probably the only non-fun part I had. It's pure luck that it turned out to be right with most of the time this game (which it always will, most people are town duh). JC very accurately pinned my weak points, I didn't have a good day, it helped getting me killed. Lea accurately was right I claim as town there, even if I at that point chose roll over on purpose to die over my two scummates. The defends on everyone else in contention was trash though.

We did indeed try to poison Lea day 1 if that hasn't been said.

We also tried to move with Ulti night 1 but were told he couldn't. Sultan thought that was obvious from the kidnap. I'm still not sure if Wallz tried to bluff anything about the first night.

Anyway, I think that's all commentary I had. It's fun playing with you all I wish I had more time to do so. I hope next time whenever that is to draw town that actually gets to live a little bit.

If Death survives we kill red and poison wallz. Ulti is still seen going nowhere that night. Red shoots either FD or Death, doesn't matter too much, other one likely gets lynched. Then we kill JC the following night for sure.

Can Ulti win Ulti vs Chang vs Lea vs Ben? Not for certain but definitely a much much greater chance, the latter two were a strong part of getting Chang lynched this time. Helps we get rid of JC a day before when he decided to pull an all timer this game. Also Wallz dying looks much less weird, needed to get poison off on someone red wouldn't protect while still getting rid of red at the same time.

Yeah I really think lynching Death over SBell was the game winning move.

On the other hand I do think double daycops and protection against no roleblocking can wreck scum way faster than town has any right to do so.

I wonder if we just use vanillaizer on JC the first night if Corrik dies instead of me. It's potentially a strong role but the 1 time limit (which obviously needs to be there) also means it's better if it survives a few days.
