No, just once. Turn 48 in less than 2 months. I got lucky on my genetics for my mouth. Not a single cavity my entire life. Had an overbite as a kid that braces/headgear for 3 years fixed. My dad has terrible teeth, had caps, cavities, root canals, all kinds of issues. My grandpa had full false teeth in his 40s. Ive not had a single issue.

I knew I should but often wouldn't, and have a bunch of fillings to thank for it, so for the past few years I do once in morning and once before bed, plus flossing throughout the day.

Every morning, some nights. I would like to get into the habit of doing it more at night before bed but my teeth are in good shape anyway. I haven't had a cavity since I was about 16.

I can relate.

When I went to the orthodontist in my teens, she said I had an underbite but she was afraid if she fixed it my jaw would grow out and Id end up with an underbite, and we just never ended up going back.

Then in 2016 I went in to a dentist because a filling fell out of the back of one of my upper front tee5, and he told me that I ground my teeth in my sleep, and because of my overbite, my lower front teeth had completely destroyed all the enamel on my upper front teeth, so I needed 6 crowns.

Ive brushed religiously since before then, but that cemented it. I dont floss because my teeth are still sort of crooked and it ends up making my gums bleed, it gets stuck in my teeth, etc. I used to use a Waterpik to floss, but the sink we have now is too small for it to fit on there with everything already on it.

I don't understand how people who just brush once a day can do it in so little time. It takes me 2 minutes with an electric brush just to do one side of the top or bottom, so about 8 minutes total and then my tongue after that. I also brush once a day, I don't seem to have any cavities from what I can tell, though it's been way too long since I visited a dentist lol

I used to brush after eating every time a few years ago

then it went to once a day

I chew gum so that helps

the dentist said they like my teeth despite the rotting parts

the thing is I was terrified of going to the dentist cause that poke hurts like ****

so I avoided the dentist and tried to save my teeth over the years

brushing too much will kill your enamel ya kno.

if they recommend 2 minutes for a full brush then it means 30 seconds per row. again i only go a little longer(up to double if i don't keep time but remaining charge also plays a role) because i only brush once a day.

definitely should be flossing once a day, preferably in the morning. you know how after you floss it can taste weird? that's bacteria that was stuck between your teeth.

i brush 2x a day (morning and before bed) and floss in the morning.

Twice a day, a light scrub after breakfast and then a more thorough brushing and flossing before bed. I used to not brush at all, but then I started regularly waking up with weird, nasty-tasting white chunks in the back of my mouth and decided enough was enough. Haven't had any such problems since~

Yeah they say that but 8+ minutes is just what it takes for my teeth to feel smooth and clean. I don't see how it can be possible that I'm somehow damaging the enamel that's underneath the grime before I've removed the grime.
