There is this nice HDR gaming topic that I have followed for years now where a user named evilboris explains his HDR settings in various games and whether its actually worth cutting HDR on or off in these games. This same user has actually been on digital foundry a few times when they are talking about HDR related stuff. (Its where I learned that red dead redemption 2's HDR was garbage/busted). That is as far as it goes.

And yeah the stellar blade related topics is insane. Posters will get nuked for drive-by trolling/concern trolling or whatever other thing they come up with.

The more I read about reset era the more angry it makes me. It would be fabulously stupid if You're superpower was to have an account that couldn't be banned anywhere.

It's really not hard. Don't be a bigot or overall shitty person that doubles down on the right to be homophobic, transphobia, ableist, and other terrible stuff and you won't get banned. For some reason the average gamer just has trouble meeting that criteria. Hell, a lot of people can't even keep a gamefaqs account chugging and this place is lax as hell

Well, I just felt like experimenting with different forums and thought ResetEra would be a chill place for liberals like me to hang out in. But from what I've recently gathered, it doesn't seem to be very friendly to anyone who doesn't identify as far left.

As a democratic socialist, I'd say it's more welcoming than others, but era is not some safe space for leftists either.

Don't consider it. You are better off staying far away from that site.

First off as mentioned they want you to register with a non free email-ISP address pretty much. That should set off red flags for anyone since they can potentially get all your personally identifiable info through that. At the very least GameFaqs has never required that I can at least say that in GameFaqs favor!

Yeah everyone here has an account there. CE is just where we post during our resetera bans.

It's actually pretty against leftism too. You have to basically be a very specific kind of progressive social democrat (Bernie Sanders is a close approximation of this). I have seen many leftists get banned there. There is a really narrow window of acceptable opinion.

iirc for awhile making fun of liberals was the norm but trump scared a bunch of people into doubling down into the "we need to vote blue no matter who" crew and a bunch of internal fighting happened and a bunch of leftists left for a spinoff site. I doubt they're very lib friendly though, so if OP goes in there talking about how much they like biden they'll still probably get run out

The NeoGaf of today is very different from the one that was there when the exodus happened. Its a ghost town now compared to then but the OTs and discussions I do see are way more chill now I would agree.

They were all in on the Bernie train and after the primaries and bernie lost and then hillary lost to trump they mostly went back to hating democrats (especially hillary/warren lmao). By all means though make an account and post a few politics topics because I think it'll be really funny to watch

Edit: to try and be helpful and less snarky, the place you probably want to look at is SA. Specifically the debate and discussion forum. Don't go into GBS or CSPAM politics threads. That's probably going to be the best fit for your politics with the best quality of posts/moderation. It's chud-free and very liberal friendly.

From the perspective of Asian developers they generally say that "Westerners like to make ugly characters". For ResetEra, anything that straight men might find attractive is deemed offensive objectification. Your views more or less need to be on the razor's edge of what others would deem to be 'woke'; hence why even posts casting a shadow of doubt over the popular opinions there results in multi-week bans.
