Yes he stole the documents from Washington and there is some argument he could have filed there. However given his refusal to give them back, and that they were found at Mar-a-Lago means the charges had to be filed in the Southern District of Florida. That being said between the nature of the case, the fact that pretrial is going to require a lot of special things, and security concerns I really think there was enough justification to request the trial take place in Miami. Especially since it is about equal distance to Mar a Largo as Ft. Based on this case https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Williams_v._Pennsylvania it seems incredibly unlikely that Jack Smith will make such a request unless Cannon hands down a judgment favoring Trump. Remember: You're only allowed to make the request to remove a judge due to bias once. You cannot ask again later after an earlier attempt failed. The removal even if approved by the Florida circuit can be further appealed to the supreme Court and they can reverse the removal. You're better off trying to catch Cannon committing a crime of some kind and having her disbarred and arrested.
