But holy shit, just finished it and one of the best shows I've seen in a long time, animated or not.

Also, tits and hog. Fucking GREAT.

It's good? I thought it looked really ugly so I didn't really want to watch it.

We watched it in two sittings, I thought it was great.

Too many people are sleeping on Scavengers Reign also, which concluded and was brilliant.

I thought it was only okayish, I preferred some of the other animated shows this year like scavengers reign, pluto and pantheon s2

I believe it's actually a Western production. There is no 2D studio left in the West as far as I know.

Oh cool, didn't know that. I looked this one up and it seems a French studio did it.

I just finished it. Knew nothing of it but it really drew me in from episode 1.

It's been a while since an anime made me want to binge, and this one for sure did it.

Finished recently and loved it. Love it when a flawed protagonist is done right. Even when you think she's finally right, she still can't let revenge go and let's Abijah live. Kinda makes me sad since a London trip for a potential next season means potentially no follow up to Ringo, Taigen or Akemi

How did y'all feel about the ending?

I liked the ending but its going to suck if it doesnt have another season. Still I would be happy with it ending here. I thought certain things were going to happen that normally happen. She gives up her quest for revenge realizing she has friends now. She falls for Taigen after what they have gone through. No she continues her journey across the sea to continue her journey of revenge with a man that will try to kill her the first chance he gets.

I agree. The other thing that I don't like about the ending is if she continues her adventure in London, I'd find it hard to continue the story line back in Japan with Taigen, Ringo, the princess, etc and still have it tie in or benefit Mizu. They did a good job with those characters and giving space to continue their own personal stories so it'd be a shame if they're just dropped altogether

It's more like...if Samurai Jack kinda went the way of that weird 3D animation that's been trending recently. But not all the way as it doesn't look as stiff as others. Idk how to fully say it lol

Just because 10 percent of it is mainstream popular doesnt supersede the point, that this show appears to have way more attention and recognition already than the majority of anime does or will have.

I get it. Sorry to be combative, I find it odd myself how few show/movie discussion topics there are. It's not like there's any shortage of media these days.

But you are right, sign of the times. Peak hours, barely holding 1000 active users anymore.

Finished it the other day and loved it. Hope it gets picked up for S2.

on episode 6 now. Liking it but still dont like Netflixs seemingly proprietary 3d anime tech that they use some variation of in damn near all its exclusive anime. 60 fps has spoiled me because this aint it chief.

I only watched the 1st episode but it's good. The twist was very obvious from the start tho.

Also out of curiosity I've peeked japanese viewers comments and they complained that the fights are more like kungfu than Japanese sword fight lol.
