Bullshit, this take ignores the active attempt by Israel to make talking about or caring about Palestinians or criticizing Israel in anyway equivalent to antisemitism. There is no legitimate criticism in their eyes, nothing that won't be called antisemitic. Even just saying "stop killing Gazan children" has been equated to a call for genocide and support of Hamas.

Without reading any of the links, I'm not entirely sure why people equate not liking the Israeli government with being antisemitic. Isn't anti-semitism what caused the modern conflicts? (European countries didn't want them living there after world war 2, so they made a country in the middle east to send them to)

Even if you treat apartheid as a loaded term, you could still see the results.

The great lengths that the Western powers and their media apparatuses go to prevent people from knowing these things is staggering, but completely understandeable.

A Jewish state is an apartheid state. The only ethnostates that aren't apartheid states are those that don't have any other ethnicities in them (because they were ethnically cleansed). There are few greater evils for a state to be founded on. And we are literally seeing an ethnic cleansing right now. A brutality towards civilians and specifically children on an unprecedented scale. The current state of Israel has no right to exist. No state that does that, or that would do that, does.

This is the crux of the issue. The only way to create an ethnostate is through apartheid and ethnic cleansing at best or outright genocide at worst. That was known and admitted from the beginning.

When people say "you're denying Israel's right to exist!", that's not the case. It's merely consistent to oppose ethnostates and x supremacist states whoever and wherever they are, because they alway come with oppression, violence, and death for non-favored group. No group is inherently superior or exclusively entitled to self determination and the only way to fool people into thinking that is by disappearing or subjugating the others.

If they wanna be an actual, multicultural democracy, not a supremacist settler colonial project, that's chill.

I mean sure. Genocidal maniacs exist so saying there is literally not a single person alive that doesn't have a problem with "free Palestine" is wrong and that's not what I meant.

But thats not the issue people generally have when they take issue with the slogan in question.

It's wild how most people have no problems denouncing every possible ethnostate - aside from Isreal.

It's also interesting to note that if from the river to the sea is considered inherently genocidal due to the location of Israel, it's equally as genocidal when Israel says it regarding Palestine. Actually more so because it's Israel's official government policy and they're putting it into practice as we speak. And they have the power and international support to do so.

Using this phrase does sound kind of like a pretty massive dogwhistle???? Since we know what Hamas wants with that phrase (genocide).
