yesterday i got all 5 zones locked during the battle phase, disabling me from summoning mahaama which would have won me the game, so im 10000% ok with anything they take from kash lol.

I had been flirting with getting Chaos Ruler recently and D-Link. But I held off. Im super glad I did.

They hit a lot of stuff in this list.

I just finished checking through all of my decks on both of my accounts. My Floo deck losing 1 copy of Duality and my True Draco deck (which I haven't even used in a while) also losing that copy of Duality as well as Card of Demise are the only hits I took. Everything else I have either was unaffected or benefited.

I hate seeing Fenrir and Unicorn being generically used in other decks, so I'm glad MD seems to be taking the OCG route and hitting the main deck pieces instead of the TCG route of banning Arise-heart and doing nothing to the main deck pieces.

This is the sauce. Super consistent 10 hand trap, 3 board breaker, 2 called by/crossout PUNK combo that, with Sharakusai effect gone off, guarantees this board.

It also lets you Zoo on the side and go into Zeus. I don't use Barrage cuz it feels a bit lame.

How to play:

Hand info: full combo is Sharakusai + 1 PUNK in hand (E-Tele obviously also full combo, possible to brick). Bad cards to draw are: both Zoos, 1 PUNK only (Ze Amin is fine), PUNK trap drawn (field is fine), Deer Note drawn with no other PUNK (not full brick, just awkward), full hand of hand traps, or triple Evenly. Rest are great draws

UR Alternatives: Hand traps are mostly interchangeable except the Maxx C package. Extra Deer Note might not hurt. ED wise, Dragite is optional (any good lvl 8 or more Link monsters also fine), ApolloUSA is optional, IP is optional. Can replace Evenlys with Kash Unicorn and Birth >.>

Combo steps:

1. summon Sharakusai
2. fuse another PUNK in hand for Carp
3. Carp goes into Deer Note + Wa Gon
4. Wa Gon searches field
5. Play field and go into Dragon Drive
6. DD eff searches Wheeleder (if already have on hand, search Ogre or a PUNK you need) (field draw 1). Deer Note summons Sharakusai or any lvl 3 PUNK (Ze Amin also great, but it's harder to leave Sharakusai on the field)
7. Special summon Wheeleder from hand, and here it deviates based on your hand.
8. If PUNK in hand, use field spell, banish a lvl 3 PUNK, summon a lvl 3 PUNK in hand. At any point, always activate a lvl 3 PUNK you haven't yet to get searches. Madame Spider searches trap, which is a negate
9. Use 2 non-Sharakusai lvl 3s to make Leviair, Leviair summons the banished lvl 3 PUNK
10. If you can extend one more time to make one more lvl 3 (Foxy Tune, normal summon a lvl 3 including hand trap), you can also save Sharakusai, but you can use the remaining lvl 3 to make M-X Invoker
11. Invoker summons a Zoo
12. Use Leviair and Invoker to summon Draco Future
13. Zoo makes Drident

It leaves you with a net of about 3 cards. You use 2 extra cards for further extension, and you draw 2 from the field spell.

Field:

UDF (mon negate and basically towers), Sharakusai + DD (bounce 3~5 + draw), Drident (pop face up), PUNK trap negate, 3 cards in hand

Aside from Maxx C, it's consistent because the hand traps can also basically serve as an extender. Depending on luck, you might have to lose a Drident. She's the least threatening part of the board.

It's weak to Sphere Mode and Evenly Matched.

Well, this is certainly a list! For me...

-Chaos Ruler ban means my beloved PUNKash Witch, which I slaved over and barely actually used, is just dead. It genuinely can't do its core play without the mill 9. I don't like it!

-Fenrir and Birth deals a pretty rough blow to Kash splash in general, which makes me feel kinda dumb for going after it so late. I don't like it!

-The extra blows to generic draw power doesn't make me feel too good, but I also usually don't play anything that can take advantage of it anyway, so I guess it's not the worst. I'm neutral!

-On the other hand, hits to Boarder and floodgates will always make me happy. I like it!

-Also not too upset about the Purrely and Wyverbuster hits, although I'm not sure how much the former will be affected. Still, I like it!

-And finally, as if Swordsoul needed an easier time getting to free Baronne. I dislike Swordsoul for pretty much the same reason I dislike floodgates: if you're gonna build an unbreakable board, you should at least have to work for it. Swordsoul is too simple and quick for how much power it outputs, and a big part of that is Longyuan being a free Baronne. I don't like it!

-As for everything else, I'm not experienced enough with any of it to comment. I have a friend who lives and dies by Speedroid, so he's gonna love this. And the Dragon Rulers...if nothing else, I guess I'm curious to see the hype.

Overall, I guess I don't actually like this list very much, which is a weird thing to say about a list that guts floodgates. My biggest gripe is definitely the death of my first genuinely original deck idea (even if the PUNKash element is borrowed). I think this is the first time a deck I've used has become legitimately unplayable due to a ban in MD. I'll have to spend as much time as I can with it before the list hits. Well, the good news is, I'm gonna get a bunch of extra UR points from two Chaos Rulers and a Fenrir~

No issues with the ban list except for chaos ruler. Breaks my red dragon archfiend deck

Wheeleder is just a lvl 3 extender that can also be summoned off E-Tele and searched with Dragon Drive. I think there are other options, I just haven't found them at the time

I think UDF might actually be better than Sharakusai. You can just keep Dragon Drive on the board to benefit off of your choice of PUNK trap. I will admit the most ideal line isn't actually that consistent, but this deck is extremely good going 2nd. You can make it more consistent by cutting off hand traps and going 2nd options

Instant Contact doesn't summon lvl 3s sadly, and that's pretty much the entire reason I'm not using it. I'm sorta wondering if Ready Fusion might actually be better here, but it doesn't summon lvl 7s for the lvl 10 synchros

It's still a work in progress, but this line is probably one of the strongest lines PUNKs can produce atm

Alt line if you wanted Dragite instead. Only Ogre Dance searched here, Wa Gon naturally drawn so that could be a hand trap, so up to 6 interactions on the board

Also if you wanted to hear me say the craziest thing somebody's ever said, it'd be that once Terrortop goes to 3, you can play 3 Terrortop and 2-3 Taketomborg. This is significant in this deck because Leviair is a Wind type, thus allowing drawn Taketomborg to be summoned in the middle of the combo, in case of a brick. Sadly the hardest thing here is getting a lvl 3 PUNK banished before this point so Leviair can revive em

Yeah lul actually it's weak to quite a few things, but Eclipse won't stop UDF from being destroyed by battle at the very least. I'm still tweaking to see if there's a reliable line to summoning a Dragite on top of the most ideal board.

Also you draw a lot and run a lot of hand traps, so Eclipse doesn't stop those at least

Lel RIP. I totally get it though, quit other TCGs for even smaller reasons. Honestly though, I've quit ygo like 4 times in the past. It's sometimes kinda fun to come back after like 2-3 years

There is one that is basically its brother (Psychic Tracker), but it has a copy of Ze Amin's 'field to GY' effect. Wheeleder has much better effect if situational.

Dragon Drive has no field presence and Dangerous Gabu doesn't need PUNK to negate so it makes Dragon Drive less attractive Lv 8 to end with....but not going Dragon Drive is potentially 1 card less from field spell (and its search) unless you already drew 2 by hard drawing the field spell before Dragon Drive.

Yeah though DD being left on the board makes the other PUNK trap a bit better. DD buffed with Ze Amin is also just an annoying big body, which can matter sometimes I suppose.

3 Wheel and Psychic Tracker might be pretty nice but it'll make the deck pretty inconsistent I think. You do need many PUNK names. I actually ended up putting one more Wa Gon and I think it's pretty good

You definitely have to choose btwn Dragite and DD rn when making the lvl 8 synchro. DD if your hand doesn't have as much extender, and Dragite if you do, I guess. Also consider that DD can still add Ogre, which is good

The lvl 10 synchros can only be summoned with a single Fenrir I shoved in there for fun... It's not that good, so I'm seriously considering that Ready Fusion idea, which can actually summon the lvl 2 vanilla fusion tuner, which can then synchro off DD into a Baronne

Why is VS allowed to keep their cards when they activate effects? Everybody else has to pay a price, these fuckers do this shit for free. How is that fair?

VS is themed around fighting games. Fighting fair is never their strong suit. If you fight fairly you lose, especially if you're just human and your opponent is Caesar Valius.

I guess it translates well.

That doesn't at all change that you don't get rid of anything. You just add and add and add only to not have to pay any kind of price. An effect gets negated, that's okay! You spent your negate while they can just use the same effect the very next turn!

I've been tempted to just run some stupid amt of cards in deck. But then you run into the situation where you don't have enough PUNKs, and you just kinda end on like one interaction and a bunch of hand traps

If Purrelys next support isnt in the very next pack then theyre deader than dead after this nerf. A shame since its the funnest deck Ive ever used.

So I've been playing the deck for like a year and a half now, but I just learned a new Sky Striker move that I can't believe I never thought to try before. If you have no monsters on the field, activate Linkage, then chain Widow Anchor to steal the opponent's monster and negate its effect (assuming you have 3+ spells in the GY for the bonus effect to be online), you can then send that stolen monster to the GY for Linkage to summon a Sky Striker Ace link-1, and its effect will still be negated by Widow Anchor when it hits the GY. This move just saved my ass against a Dragon Link deck. After I broke their board but couldn't OTK, they tried rebuilding it with REDMD, but then I thought "wait does this actually work?", tried it, and sure enough, it worked and they surrendered.

SK Darkwurm went to three.

Not a perfect Chaos Dragons replacement, but Darkwurm + Dragon Shrine can do stuff.

I just used VS to burn people before they got their turn. Then again I only did it once since the other 2 instant surrendered after losing the coin toss. I don't hate it but ironically there is even less to do than in the 30 second duels.

Pulling off Red-Eyes FTK or 2TK fills me with life.

if anyone wants to grind legacy packs for some reason, this event is the way to do it.

Man some people cry way too hard about funny events. I mean you get all the reward from 3 whole wins. There's no better feeling than countering the typical bullshit they obviously copied off other people.

Resolving stuff like Eco and basically just auto winning cuz they put 0 defensive stuff in the deck is just hilarious. Sure, you kinda need like 2 anti-burn hand traps to fully counter them, and it's possible to lose, but that's just card games

Even in the ritual event, I had an excuse to learn Prediction Princess, which I hate the playstyle of regularly because they just lingering floodgate and not much else. I think that's great for a card game, then you'll still see so many people complain

I appreciate it. Like, a part of me is happy, I'm better than I thought. The other part of me also knows that is highly likely as far as I'm ever gonna get.

I dunno how it keeps happening, but I keep hitting Shadowverse at weird eras. They're near the end and kinda phoning it in b4 they release SV2. Well the problem is that they're like re-releasing arts that are just the old cards with revamped effects, but they're not usable in unlimited due to possibly confusing people with 2 different cards with different effects. But for whatever reason, they're not flat out making the old cards obsolete in unlimited, instead just making the revamped cards rotation specific.

Ok but that's not what's important. They're actually in a tier 0 format where a deck is so oppressively powerful right now. It's Mysteria in Runecraft class. Mysteria is the type that always referred to the likes of Anne and Grea, the duo containing a brunette girl and a dragon girl studying magic and having an honestly not even that subtle relationship closer than friendship. I saw Cal posting some pics of her, and yeah they're op rn

It's not even funny. I've been running Last Word Shadowcraft to get as much usage out of the cool leaders I have til they become obsolete for SV2, and I'm getting fucking wrecked. Ppl were saying it's the 3rd best deck of the format. Uhhh so why am I like 1/18 against Mysteria Runecraft?

Funny thing about Anne and Grea, there's an alternative darker universe set they did where Grea betrays Anne, and Anne talks about how she loved her but she betrayed her. So not very subtle, but on the regular timeline, seems like they're still chillin

Hit Master rank for the first time ever with Purrely today, who carried me all the way from silver rank.

Facing all meta decks I lost most against Labs, followed by mathmech, and although I usually beat VS they usually gave me many sweaty. Especially since most of them used Kurikara.

I really hope their support will be the very next selection pack since this is the funnest deck Ive ever played in ygo.
