My boss humored his 12 year old daughter who wanted an acting career by allowing her to appear in commercials and as speaking extras. He always made sure to chaperone her. At one shoot at a major studio for a part on a TV pilot, the producers and their security separated him from his daughter. Security and staff refused to let him back stage to see her saying it was a restricted area until he made threats to get the police involved. After that, he pulled her out of acting all together.
