They totally fucking did, I find myself on the market after 13 years and so far I haven't sent anything as cringey as that so I think I'm doing OK so far.

I messaged a girl on my Facebook friends list, but I was so anxious about telling her she was pretty I just asked her questions about why she moved and if she liked it there and I ended it with a really weird sounding "Must be nice to move somewhere and find good friends".

I can't imagine shooting a random message to someone like "Ey, can I see your feet."

His message might have been awkward, but it wasn't creepy assuming that was his only message. He decided to take a shot, and she wasn't interested according to that poster. So it sounds like the conversation ended before it even began, which is fine.

Unless she's genuinely interested in a relationship now, there's no point in egging him on unless she trying to be an ass now.

I don't necessarily think that's weird either. Many couples meet each other by shooting their shot at a stranger they kind of like at first glance. Many people do meet through online, despite all the failures.

The only caveat I have is as long as it stays to a 1 or 2 short messages. Just make sure the message isn't getting way too personal, stalkerish, dick pics, etc.

Just like in person in random settings and approaching a woman. Obviously don't approach every woman with a heartbeat, but approaching a woman in itself isn't a bad thing.

Woman just go through it more than men for the same reason most woman don't approach first.

In person, yes. And online through dating apps and such, yes. I have plenty of experience here.

But does it work to randomly DM someone on Facebook? It seems like that would be an intrusion to somewhere they expect to be just left alone. I am not saying it never works, but it seems like it would mostly just stress women out.

Women aren't actually approached for dates that often in person unless at a social event where it is more expected. The asking someone out a grocery store (and similar) thing is fairly rare.

Dating apps, bars, clubs, social gatherings, etc are much more acceptable simply because it is more expected. Or asking out someone you actually know regardless of the place. Facebook DMs to a stranger is an intrusion on their privacy.

So since 2017, I have been close to literally dozens of women either through dating or platonic friendships. The vast majority don't like receiving DMs from strangers, and this includes some very extroverted women who will chat it up with random dudes approaching them in person. Receiving DMs on Facebook is an invasion of privacy to most women. I also used to run 2 Meetup groups and the women would receive random DMs there too and it creeped them out. I had to police that shit as an event moderator and group administrator.

Now I am not saying that there aren't any women okay with it, as all women are different, but I have heard plenty of examples of them NOT being okay.

Now can you tell me that you personally know dozens of women who are okay with it?
