I really should donate. I read it at letan hour a day. I'm constantly looking stuff up. Then a friend told me about the game.. Say you want to get to Tom Hanks. You start a random article and try to locate the links that will lead you to the page you're looking for. Read tons of interesting stuff that way.

I've seen their campaigns before. I've donated before because I value the service. I would pay a fucking subscription for it, though I know that's the antithesis of the idea behind Wikipedia. But I'd do everything in my power to make sure it never shuts down. If they said they were shutting down tomorrow or something, I'd do more. But I've seen them fundraise many times and they're still going. I think the world understands its value.

wikipedia's a great resource on anything that isn't sociopolitically charged and isn't more cutting-edge stem and sometimes different synonyms for the same subjects have different articles with different attitudes towards said synonyms for the same subject

so teachers told us in high school, it's a decent starting point, but you're going to need much better sources for any serious research or understanding

I donated once and thats all they're gettin outta me. If it shuts down then another site will rise from its ashes, makes no difference to me. Besides I'm not in school anymore, so Wikipedia itself doesn't have a 4th of the appeal it used to. I still use it from time to time though.
