Today's woke generally means you don't think trans people are groomers so yeah I guess I am woke now.

If by "woke", you mean against fascism, rascism, sexism, and general bigotry + anti-democratic behavior, then yeah, I guess you could consider me "woke" as fuck.

Honestly, it deeply disturbs me that simply wishing your neighbors would be treated as equal human beings is somehow considered a bad thing amongst a particular group of people. I'll never understand anti "woke"-ness.

Merriam-Webster defines the word as "aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)". It's very clear-cut, with next to no room for misinterpretation. If anyone believes that it means anything beyond that, they should open a dictionary and see for themselves.

I guess it depends on what you think woke is, I think of stupid college kids that think they've opened their third eye because of 1 semester of psych classes and looks down on anyone that thinks differently

I think that's a word that has lost all meaning if it ever had any. I would never call myself woke. It's mainly used as a pejorative now anyway.

I'm not saying people cannot research it, but the reality is that people throw the term around meaning different things.

the people who are in the public eye that are being called woke i wouldn't want to have anything to do with them, they are basically the same as extremists when it comes to beliefs. As far as racism and tolerance of sexuality goes i basically have the same attitude as towards people's beliefs, i don't really care as long as you don't shove it in my face, it doesn't affect me negatively or try to convince me of anything.

More like scared from the social media generation. Babies who grew up not knowing a life before social media scare me

I recall hearing about children being persuaded into thinking they were trans when they didn't identify that way previously. But I don't recall actual trans people being behind it. Was that ever the argument?

I think that's just more of an American value. The "woke" are anti-America, so what they value is treating everyone differently according to their race, sex, gender identity, and so forth.

"Woke" is an ironic pejorative term for people who are brainwashed by establishment media.
e.g. Look how self aware and cognizant of their own actions this person is while under hypnosis.

If you mean am I aware then yes I am woke. I pay attention to what's going on then I decipher the BS from the "truth" and make a decision but in terms of politics, I generally vote for candidates who offer hope and encouragement because I am not with that other BS of dividing and conquering people and yelping about being cheated when an election is lost and inciting anarchy and people to storm the nation's Capitol because some people are terrible losers.

I never said that. Racism was a concern before CRT was thought up.

I don't need to be woke to be aware of and against bigotry and societal ills and injustices. Whether they believe it or not, people have been pushing for equal rights long before any of us today were even born. The activists back then walked, so that the ones today could bitch on the internet.
