I flew to Hawaii and had to stop at some airports on the way there and back. I noticed the majority of people did not wear masks in Hawaii and at the following airports.

Kansas City, Denver, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Hawaii, and Phoenix.

I dont get it.

Yet when a hospital or nursing home gets a positive case it still seems to spread. Wear a mask to stop covid from spreading in public places is common sense.

Right, god forbid you be careful when only 400-800 people are dying a day. That's the same number of people who dies on 9/11 every 5 days but that's a fair price to pay to not....something.

I haven't kept up with the stats much but at one point my county was the most vaccinated county in the country. Now I barely see people masks.

i wear a mask when the dept of public health asks me to. right now we have no mask advisory in effect, so i dont wear one.

Yeah, unfortunately that's everywhere. I live in Los Angeles and I'd say maybe 20-30% of people I see out and about still wear a mask. That number is probably going to go down even more, now that Biden had declared that the pandemic is over.

People stopped wearing them here in NYC pretty drastically. It might be like 10% of people now

I walk the strip everyday and my estimate at this point is probably 1%. 1 out of every 100 people have a mask. But that is outdoors. The number may be higher indoors which i dont really keep track of.

Omaha is maybe like 2% wear masks.

I gave up wearing a mask when work stopped making us wear them.

I spend like 97% of my average day at work or on base so I'm always surrounded by the same-ish people. My points of contact on any day range in the several dozens to hundreds.

So me wearing a mask is basically pointless because they're not wearing a mask either and they individually have dozens to hundreds of unique exposures.

In other words, ain't nothing I'm doing that's going to stop me from getting it, if I'm gonna get it.

I got my 2 shots (can't get boosters via work) so at this point I've played the game and done what I can.

People ITT trying to justify why they are not wearing a mask still is sad.

Is there a single city that fully masks up anymore? Too many idiots ruined it.

Dude. Mask mandates globablly were lifted months and months and months ago. People still wearing masks are in the vast minortiy. You have a problem with it, write a letter to your congressman.

Lifting a mandate doesnt mean people still cant make intelligent choices in their own lol.

Besides, if we were truly 100% concerned wholly about our health, nobody in my profession would be in said profession

Generally speaking, it's probably no where. Masks make sense in hospitals, transit areas, or sitting in an audience, but otherwise people have just largely accepted that vaccines are widely available for those that want them, newer strains are less severe, and the health care system is capable of handling the few severe cases that still occur.

Post election, as we near Thanksgiving, you might see them return in specific counties.

A lot of people here in the Bay area stopped wearing them too

And we were one of the areas that took COVID the most serious

Its just dumb when I go through multiple airports and the majority of people are not wearing masks. Its so crowded in airports and on airplanes it makes no sense to me why people wouldnt mask up even in situational settings.

It's dumb to travel during a pandemic.

I can vouch for Phoenix and that no one cared about covid from the beginning.

If you are sick you should stay the fuck home and not go to an airport. Or anywhere else theres a bunch of people.

I've noticed very few people bother wearing masks anymore, and Canada was way stricter about mask requirements than the States was.

A couple places (like schools) still have a "wear masks during class" rule, but everywhere else its optional.

There are no cities, blue or red, in the United States where the majority of people still wear masks.

The people who still wear masks are an ever decreasing minority.

jesus does KCI to hawaii and back really take that many freaking stops?

hopefully the new airport brings in more traffic. that's wild. i'm not saying there should be a KCI to maui, but it should at worst be KCI to LAX/SFO to hawaii and back.

My first flight was to Denver then San Francisco. The return flight was to Phoenix then Kansas City.

My wife was on a different flight a day earlier and went to Las Vegas first.

The fastest flight with the least stops was like $300 more.

I've been all through Northeast Ohio, and I can count on one hand the number of masks I've seen.

Masks haven't been a thing for more than a year.
