Try Kemono no Souja Erin, or if you've really got nothing left try older anime like from the 80s/90s like Armitage III, Vampire Princess Miyu (if you haven't seen them already). There's loads of great anime from the 80s/90s, that just isn't massively popular. Like, how about.... 11-nin Iru!/They Were Eleven, which is hardly mentioned, but is a very decent anime movie. ... It's a light-hearted comedy that is absolutely jammed with genre parody. Sort of like a less wacky Excel saga. Given what you said you like and don't like above, I'll throw out a few more suggestions that might fit more with your preferences, although many of them I'm sure you've seen as well: Wolf's rain Jin roh Paranoia agent Psycho pass Serial experiment Lain I would also like to explicitly call out now and then, here and there which is a truly brilliant little gem that a lot of people haven't seen. I actually recently finally got around to watching/finishing wolf's rain. I saw most of it as a kid, but never finished it until semi recently. Don't think I've seen Jin Roh yet. Also, I'm open to all suggestions, not just what it'd seem like I like. Though Rainbow is a lot "safer" in that it's more standard. Where You Are Umasou goes for a more western style with its animation (which basically turned off a lot of people from watching it in the first place, hence why it has a pretty high score but extremely low score on MAL) Rainbow didn't get watched because most services wouldn't show it because it was a bit too adult (and not in the horny sort of way). --- "A shouted order to do something of dubious morality with an unpredictable outcome?
