Instead of doing my Other Picks league this year, I've decided to try something new. All are welcome to join. How do you do that? Simple. Post a pick in this topic. That's it. Pretty simple, right?

What is the NFL Point Prediction League?
Each week you will predict how many points two teams will score for that week. You will earn 1 point for each point you are off, with lower scores being better. The two teams do not have to be facing each other. They can, but they don't have to!

Example:

User A: Jets 14 points
User B: Jets 10 points
Results: Jets 13 points

User A scores 1 point
User B scores 3 points

Rules:

1. Each week, you will be predicting the score for two teams. These two teams do NOT have to be facing one another.
2. You cannot pick a team twice, until you've picked for all other teams. At which point you can predict them a second time but never a third time. A spreadsheet will be available to list available teams for you. There is an exception for week 14. If you've already picked for all teams except for 5 or 6 on a BYE during that week, you may repeat your teams a week early, but then cannot pick repeat teams again until week 18. (Or one in week 17 as the case may be)
3. If you miss a week, you will be automatically given the worst score of the week +7. So if the worst score in a week is a combined 22, you will be given 29 points.
4. The Top 12 pickers will move on to the playoffs.
5. Each week there will be a tiebreaker Triple Threat. You can predict the result of 0, 1, 2, or 3 of those games. You will then earn tiebreaker points based on how many you get right. For each you get right, you earn 10 points. For each you get wrong you lose 30 points. If you get every one you predict correct, your points will be doubled. This means if you go 1/1 you get 20 points. If you go 2/2 you get 40 points. And if you go 3/3 you get 60 points. But if you go 2/3 you lose 10 points. And if you go 1/2 you lose 20 points. And if you go 0/1 you lose 30 points. You do not have to pick any of them. Doing so, however, will earn you 0 points.
6. There will also be a final tiebreaker in week 18. Any further ties will be decided by the record against playoff teams (If you've picked them twice, those scores will be halved. So if you get +3 and +7, your score will be considered 5, not 10)
7. A Score Prediction must be posted before the game starts. Tiebreakers must be posted before those games start. The Thursday Night game will never be part of the tiebreaker so as to give everyone time to pick a tiebreaker.

The spreadsheet will obviously not be available this week, as nobody has made picks and it's unnecessary. We'll see if there's enough interest for this. If anything is confusing, please feel free to ask.

Probably should've had Khalil Mack on there too. But that's why we've got the other option. I guess it's my inner anagram. Did leave off Deshaun watson on purpose, though. He's suspended for an odd 11 games,.

Bummer! I loved your playoff system.... Can you just take the top 12 from the "regular" league and run "your" playoff system alongside, when the season ends?

Well I've got some good news for you! This league's playoff system is the same as my "other picks" league. With some slight tweaks.

well I have no idea how to strategize what order to pick teams in for this so uh...

I don't think it'll be less than 100. Probably in the 200's. But we'll see. I don't think this has ever been done before. One could easily score 20 points in a single game if a team under or overperforms. Han for example did great with the Bills. Spot on. 0 points there. But the Rams scored him 23 points.

Hit the mark on the Dolphins, but boy did I underestimate the Bears, or it might be more accurate to say that I underestimated the offensive struggles of the 49ers.
