I'd say it's the worst thing about the game. Story...lol. I like the world building and themes and characterization but the literal 'plot' has been good but not great. HanOfTheNekos 08/30/22 9:20:01 PM #460:	Amalthus's whole arc and the way it intertwines with Torna and the group Torna is pretty interesting to me. It doesn't cross any new ground (games, especially Xeno, like to do corruption in the religion), but it does directly tie him to major events of the world and sets him up as a foil for the mythical hero Adam. What I thought they could have done a little better was dip into him being a Blade Eater, but for what he was, he was pretty well done. Eons better than any of these Moebius through chapter 5. XBC2 has the best soundtrack though, and yeah, I think most of the areas are great. Uraya especially. [1-2 spoilerz] The excitement of landing on this new lower world that was being formed by the Cloud Sea all this time, after just finding out that the game was occurring side-by-side with XB1's ending with Shulk creating his new world? Holy shit. Even made XB1's ending better (which honestly was kinda confusing on its own), with Shulk's line about being excited to meet the people of the new world, now as a player knowing that Rex & co were coming. damn [full-series spoil] actually looking back at those XB1 finale lines that I was excited about post-2 is kinda depressing now post-3.... Alvis literally talking about his vision of the new world with all forms of life moving forward to the future "hand-in-hand".... um.... also holy shit Shulk's direct quote is "One day I hope I can meet them all, the people of this endless world."...... GuessMyUserName 09/04/22 2:23:00 AM #490:	the plot is ~~absolutely the worst no question about it~~ ~~it does the classic big reveal scene but then it just stops doing any more plot from then on and the game just tumbles to the finish line instead of developing a climactic finish~~ there's nothing more emblematic of XB3's plot issues than Moebius X & Y literally just not even getting a cutscene after you beat them. like damn I was even giving Moebius X a shot for having some personality in Eunie's Side-Story & the start of Chap6 but yeah nope the game just stops trying at the end. --- I request affiliated many pipes. skullbone 09/04/22 2:23:34 AM #491:	I did pretty much all of the side quests for the characters I cared about and they weren't exactly blowing me away. This game has like 2 themes and they beat you over the head with them for 80 hours. And the side quests are no exception to that. (whole plot outline as I understand it) The two universes from XB1 and XB2 started to merge back together which was bad because... reasons? It was going to destory both universes or something? So Nia and Melia work together from their univeres to make Origin which will reboot the universe after it explodes when they fuse together. But Zed is created from the general population's collective will not wanting to die and wanting to freeze time. So he creates a universe where people never really die using Origin. Noah and crew beat him and restore Origin to it's original function of rebooting the universe. But then in the ending the two universes split up again and start going their separate ways? And then little kid Noah who saw time stop in the very beginning is now able to move on and it's implied that Mio is in this universe now too.
