What's interesting about the Jets is I've heard that Jets over 5.5 wins is one of the most popular over/under betting lines this year.

I DO think they're going to be meaningfully better than they were last year... But their schedule is pretty brutal.

Yeah, you've gotta look at the schedule. They're going to be improved, but they're clearly the worst team in a (presumably) pretty good division, and they don't play an outright bad team (at least on paper) until week 12.

That had to be deliberate for the reason of *RATINGS*. I can't accept any other reasoning for only 11 games.

The 11 games is because 12 games would cost Watson tens of millions in lost salary next year. That's the main reason.

It's kinda ridiculous they were allowed to structure his deal in a way that avoids him losing more money from not playing.

Really they should factor it as an average over the length of remaining contract to stop teams from doing this shit when they know a fine/suspension is coming.

People were also gushing about how good the Jets looked in joint practice against the Falcons compared to how they looked in joint practices last year.
