I probably won't bother with the sequel, since I don't particularly feel like going to a theatre to be able to appreciate the visuals and my home TV is too small for that, but I won't necessarily turn it down if somebody else wants to watch it with me. --- This is my signature. Honestly, I feel like that's probably one of the better ways use the franchise. As much as the plot was forgettable, people liked looking at it. To that end, building a theme park around it so people can wander through the nice-looking world and explore the interesting scenery and creatures is playing to that strength. That said, an open-world video game would probably be the better approach. Generally much cheaper than trying to physically build a world to explore, much greater potential for scale and worldbuilding, no actual need to put together a more compelling story than a barebones excuse for exploring the world... It probaby won't happen (or if it does, it won't be done well), but I can see that being better than attempts to squeeze more films out of a universe that never had much going for it aside from looking cool. --- This is my signature. As much as the plot was forgettable, people liked looking at it. To that end, building a theme park around it so people can wander through the nice-looking world and explore the interesting scenery and creatures is playing to that strength.
