Babies got this quite a bit.

Not the same thing. Colic for infants is just a general term for excessive crying and irritability, with no way to tell the specific cause. What I had was very specific as to why I was hurting.

I woke up in the middle of night in 2015. I had this severe pain on my lower right obliques that lasted about 40 minutes. It was so sharp and awful. It was the worst pain of my life. I couldnt even move because of the sheer amount of pain it was causing me. I dont know what it was and didnt bother going to the hospital for it after the pain subsided.

In 2000, I had a three day stretch where I was having 4-5 nosebleeeds a day. My parents took me to a hospital and the doctors thought it was because of the dry air since it was winter.

Um...cancer.
Yeah. Had some back pains, went to chiropractor, got better.
Year or so later hit harder and ER just assumed Sciatica, no scans or anything.
Only later Dr decided to PARTLY scan me and found slipped discs.

Week or so later, Texas snowstorm hits and I ain't got leg movement.
Tumor was higher up. Turned out to be a rare,, really crap one, and I feel my docs screwed over giving me the best possible treatment.
I will say the neurosurgeon who removed it, no grudge, she tried, it just pissed off what tiny bits were left.

Now after a year or two of chemo without radiation (even though a combo has been stated to be best, they told me impossible, other docs have said the opposite) we thought it was gonna on PET scans, but teeny pieces moved around in my spine very deep and are seen in MRI.

Now I'm on Keytruda, (which isn't FOR my cancer, but a few rare cases had good reaction, but those were more mutated, he's even admitted we aren't necessarily talking curative, coward, I want to fight) spine swelling from it causing arm sensation loss. Legs were getting better, thought I was getting cured.
Doc is afraid to go back to chemo because it kicked my White blood cells bad, and says these nodules survived so maybe it adapted(?)
I'm still willing and wanting it and radiation together, no matter how deep it is in Dura, maybe Parp Inhibitors or T Cell stuff, definitely want radiation though transport will be an issue.

Sorry for the wall, but I felt like getting whole story out. Family has been through so much, not just me.
If anyone remembers, a while back I'm the guy that found a kitten at work and made a couple topics about it.

Nothing bad in my 30s other than an eye infection that made my eyes extremely sensitive to light. Had to wear sunglasses while at the office lol

Worst was two random times in my mid to late twenties where I woke up and could not move my neck an inch without experiencing pain that almost made me faint. First time happened in 2014, second time was in 2017. For the 2014 one, it literally took me 30 minutes to get out of bed and another 20 or so minutes to put on clothes and drive to the doctor while tilting my head like a jackass the entire time.

Oh and also in my 20s I had severe acid reflux where sometimes I would wake up and it felt like my heart was about to stop. Doctor visit helped that and it felt like I unlocked the ability to burp from that, and so problem solved except there's times when I sound like Rick Sanchez

I'd say gallbladder attacks, I couldn't eat much at all because it'd cause an attack. Even a plain chicken sandwich caused an attack.

I got sick of the ER trips every other week, so I'm glad i got it removed but I don't know which pain was worse, the actual attacks or the pain from the surgery after waking up.

What can they really do, though? I thought they basically monitor your eyesight and make adjustments as it changes.
The optometrist can check for retinal tears. If they catch it early you can get it lasered before it becomes a detachment.

Ye this is what happened with my herniated disc. I couldn't get out of bed for a month or so at all.

The good news is it made me get into stretching, which has made me feel younger than I did in my 20s

Highly recommend to anyone with back pain

the worst I've dealt with is a grade three varococele. like a migraine in my balls.

is it your lower back? the sphinx pose on its own solved like 90% of it for me. it looks simple and stupid but it's very effective

if it's your lower back, you want to do any stretches that arc your back in the opposite direction of how you would normally slouch forward. lying down and doing that pose takes off a lot of pressure and cleared up almost all of the pain

I also recommend getting some kind of lumbar support for when you're sitting down, at least for the places you spend time sitting the most

Word.

I also have one from PT where you fly flat and prone, lift your pelvis up as much as you can, then flex your ass and abs.

Seems to help.

Oof man, that sounds painful.
As for the sciatica, hope that's all it is. Probably is.
If you can get a full MRI, take it imo.
No reason you shouldn't be able to know exactly what it looks like there imo.
Dunno why they bother half assing it sometimes.

I was born without ear canals and had to have some surgeries throughout my life to create and maintain them. First 4 surgeries were at ages 3-5, 5th one age 12, 6th one age 23. I'm 32 now.

Other than that no real medical problems. Eyesight's kinda bad but just wear glasses/contacts for it. Haven't had any organ failures or cancers or major illnesses. Yet. >_> Had a few cavities over the years, my teeth aren't exactly the best but they're all still there. Probably need to better my diet to keep them in better shape, I'd like to not have pulled teeth for as long as I can

Inguinal hernia
I still have random pain/discomfort associated with it after roughly 20 years. If I elaborate, it'd no doubt cause phantom pain in others.

Following that would be chronic nerve pain in my head from past damage or surgery.
