I almost forgot what good television was.

That was SO GOOD. I don't like what Jim and Kim are doing. I know Howard was a dick to Jimmy, but I think this is going too far. I'm scared for Kim.

The part where Tyrus points his gun at Mike was pointless. We know they all live into BB LOL.

I'm digging the show but in some ways it kinda invalidates BB a bit cause the characters are almost more flushed out now, then there were in the show. Some of the actions they take later don't make sense based on the actions we are seeing now.

That being said, mike was always my favorite char, and in many ways I have grown to like BCS more then BB (and I watched it all the way through twice (once with my wife and later with a friend).

Gonna be sad when it ends:(

The story is much less grating.

I dont think it will be the series high point. This is going to be a terrible year for tv. Obi Wan, LoTR and House of Dragon will shit on their respective franchise

i love both and they are too different to say one is objectively better.

however breaking bad made Gus look a lot more bad ass. Better call Saul makes him out to be a mustache twirling villain imo.

That opening scene with Erin trying to explain to the old folks why the lawsuit is going to take long was hilarious.

This all has to tie back to Gene, right? That's the feeling I'm getting. Not sure how, but I think Kim will have to order a vacuum and they'll meet each other in the present with their new names. idk

I was always under the impression that Kim was going to have to either leave him, or die before the end of better call saul because she wasn't in breaking bad at all, nor mentioned in the flashbacks etc for along time.

Once I saw them cleaning out his home though after everything fell apart and she still had clothes there etc, it gave me some hope. I still don't think she's gonna make it though cause if they were together in any way he woulda tried to go poof WITH her, so I have a bad feeling about her future.

The ending is starting to remind me of breaking bad now. The writers are trying to make us hate the main characters with this stupid Howard prank shit. Its going way too far and its going to blow up in their face.

im a little upset about that. I didnt expect to start disliking Kim and Jimmy this season

They took way too long to develop the characters and get them to this position. Like they knew where the destination was but they really haven't made Jimmy "Saul" yet. They're getting there, but I feel like these small things should been done like a season ago.

Also there's been zero progress in the Post-Breaking Bad Jimmy scenes we had been drip-fed for years.

Chuck was the biggest asshole on the show.

Kim's going to blow up. She's really got it in for Howard.

Howard could have chilled tf out after Chuck passed, but it became obvious that neither of them respected Kim or Jimmy because they were street trash.

How so?

Every character in BCS that has been fully fleshed out was not so in BB. Like we didn't know much of anything about Gus' connections to Madrigal as that plot just seemed to come out of nowhere in the final season to BB.

The only thing we knew about Mike is he had a granddaughter he was saving his money for.

We knew Saul's name was Jimmy, and that he was a Cartel lawyer.

We only heard of Lalo and Nacho by name in one scene.

Hector was already an vegetable.

I'm excited for when it ends because this was one damn good show! I hope we get a Nacho or Lalo spin-off prequel next.

Anyway, tonight's episode was HOLY ****!!!!

Jimmy turned his whole life around for Chuck because he idolized him. He often tried to make the right call after realizing the error of his ways only to have it blow in his face later. Everything he has done was overshadowed by his brother and people only looked at him because of his brother.

Why wouldn't you turn to a life of crime with all of the shit he has gone through? Hell, Jimmy is hands down the most relatable character to me in the entire history of television.

Really? This show has been nothing but stupendous. Yeah, Season 1 has some weak points to it, but that's par for the course for any Season 1. Rarely is a show going to be perfect right from the get go. It's one of the reasons I don't think any show should be canceled in its first season as the first season is when the show is trying to find its footing for what works and what doesn't.

The last few episodes to Season 2 is really when it was elevated, especially thanks to that Hitchcockian like scene at the border patrol where they filmed it to look like one take.

And then after Gus entered the frey, Nacho really took off, and when Lalo came in, everything became perfection. Kim's fall from grace outdoes even Walter's fall in BB.

The worst part of all is that BCS has ruined every other TV series for me because even the best shows out there right now are only half as good. Like I don't even think I can touch Stranger Things Season 4 or Kenobi this summer until BCS has ended as all I'm going to be doing is comparing their quality to BCS.

That interaction between Howard and Kim at the end of that last episode tho:
Howard really had nothing against Kim, the problems were always rooted in truly legitimate people seeing through Jimmy's street sense of "justice". He's really, really fucked up inside, and at the end of the day, he still manages to be the only person that "survives" both series. Really making me wonder whether or not Lalo will kill Kim in the end as she's the only remaining loose end now that the Sandpiper/HHM arc is concluded and this is the defining moment that Jimmy absolutely cannot turn back from. My guess is that Kim's death would seal the deal even more perpetually making Jimmy turn into Saul.

I hope Kim lives and straightens herself out. Maybe save Gene in the future/present.

Nah, I doubt Kim is going to die. If nothing else, she'll escape via the Vaccuum Cleaner, though I expect Saul will learn how that works thanks to the Vet using it. Plus, in BB Saul said he was divorced 3 times whereas here he has only been divorced twice.

What I see happening though is Kim is so distraught over what happens she moves back to Nebraska and ends up marrying a cab driver. They get divorced and... well, I think you can see where I end up going with this.
