Very tough call. Out of his top tier I'd say:

ET > Raiders of the Lost Ark > Hook > AI > Schindler's List > Jurassic Park > Jaws

AI doesn't get enough credit for how psychologically fucked up it is

Oh yeah shout-out to A.I., genuinely great and potentially underrated. Although to be fair most of the typical complaints regarding the film sound reasonable. I still find it amusing how people act like the film's contentious ending was Spielberg's handiwork and not, you know, that of the guy who made 2001: A Space Odyssey.

ian watson came up with the ending and spielberg directed it (aside from writing the screenplay). don't see how kubrick is to blame for it.

oh, to answer the question: saving private ryan, i guess. minority report is close.

yeah, but even if kubrick approved of the ending, spielberg ended up directing it, like i said.

if your question is "why do people blame spielberg for the ending rather than kubrick?", the logical answer would be "because spielberg was responsible for the way it was eventually presented and kubrick had little to do with it."
