So its official. Paleo Frogs are back! And they feel interesting. Doing some testing. I only have enough for one more UR. Debating on a 3rd maxx C or a Knightmare unicorn.

You get so much fuel for XYZ and Links its crazy.

Suddenly I'm finding a lot of people using Skill Drain hmm.

Also kinda want to try a Darklord deck but it's so expensive...

So I am thinking of cashing out of Eldlich and going full time Paleo Frogs! First game I shut down a hero deck. It helped that I knew which monsters to banish. But Toad is just disgusting. I had forgotten it had the ability to recycle itself. So you can link it off after using its 2 material only to get more advantage of a new better link summon and most likely a new Toad online at the same time.

Edit: I was able to Toadally negate Maxx C as well so it really crippled his ability to recover.

I just made a Marincess deck that also uses some frogs (3 Swap, 1 Ronin) as part of its Link engine, and it can also Xyz into Toadally Awesome (I also run a few of those Paleo traps) or Xyz into Bahamut Shark and summon Toadally that way. I haven't taken it online yet (meaning I haven't added in the "necessary to play the game online" handtraps like Maxx C) but it's been fun to play against some of the solo mode opponents.

Have you tried Shark XYZ yet? Suuuuuper fun. Toad+Utopia Future Draco+Vespenato or Full Armored Shark (forget it's name because not so important) is super fun.

Toadbro! Anyway you can summon him, you should. The card is too powerful on its own.
Having fuel? Its as nasty as it ever was. Ive seen some lists that have the marincess link in it. If you can get the Maxx C in it then it will be fun online.

Im debating on if I want to add in a Thunder dragon colossus with Nemses Corridor or just go hard into the Extra deck with a full press of IP Masquerena along with either the paleo link or perhaps the Link Mekk Knight.

I agree on the rogue decks but Ive always been a rogue player. My thunder dragons have also survived due to that. But Im also super paranoid about having their protection online for multiple effects.

Its amazing being able to play a deck that has my favorite card. I even looked up some trivia for it. I cant wait to break out my cards from storage and get my Toad out.

I've reached the point where I just surrender if they add herald of ultimatness to the hand. Its not worth wasting my time.

I also got crooked cook for free in one of those trash legacy packs. They really encourage degenerate play huh?

Only thing is that it's a 2-3 of and not every deck runs it. Hell, I run Crusadias with 15 Crusadias and sometimes I have opening hands where I don't see any lol

Lol, 3rd game with Paleo Frogs and I run into a Traptrix deck! You would think I would be hard countered as I was also going second! But I wasnt! I grinded it out. Never saw Toad cause they were shutting that down. But I was able to make my buddy Paleozoic Anomalocaris. Which forced their set cards and helped me wipe their board which in term wiped mine but I had back up. I was able to recover and have tons of things online in my next turn. Got the connection failed surrender.

I had a really fun game against them last night. I ashed and they used called by the grave. They made all kinds of plays and loaded up their field and ended with 1 card in hand. I Nibiru'd their field and popped the token next turn. They had no set spells or traps and I found out they had an ash in hand that could've stopped my combo.

I had a thought earlier today: Gravekeepers (thanks to Necrovalley and possibly Hidden Temples) plus Kaijus (easy removal of boss monsters) would make for a really annoying anti-meta deck, and now I want to build it.

I just wish gravekeepers had more over lap. I think the aqua water statue build that locks people out of special summoning would be cheaper to build. I barely made it out alive with one. Super annoying

But Im super tempted to blow 3 URs on that grass to do some abomination 60 card frogs deck so

I have three that grass looks greener Skull servant deck that just fucks and it's not even done yet. I've won every dual but one when I've drawn geass

Not helping! Really not helping! Makes me want to do it more. I can afford 2 right now and work up through the battle pass to get the other. I only have 3 Maxx C and 1 Ash blossom though. Got the perfect extra deck set up I believe with Borrelsword, Apo, Accesscode, Unicorn as options to go into once I lock things down with Toad. And a whole tool box of XYZs, sky centaur saved me against Timelords as I was able to bounce one back to hand to go for game with Acesscode. For the grass version I might put cat shark back into the deck.

It's like a instant win button and you get 3 of them

I just dismantled this dudes Virtual World deck from like very angle. He did an odd Maxx C but I was able to push through 2 psyframe gammas with traps and toad. Trolled him by stealing a VW Roshi from the grave with Ice dragon and was able to keep it since he didnt have a monster that had the same attribute. Allowed for an easily climb into unicorn to accesscode to Toad Recycled to push for game

Having an XYZ/Link Climb toolbox is kinda busted

Ice dragons Prison is so damn good. You get rid of two problematic pieces, or you deny the opponent of a critical revive. Definitely my favorite trap of the game

Pendulum Magicians is what will always bring me back to Yugioh. So versatile while having varied hands and wide extra deck options so anyone that plays it can put their own spin on it and end up with totally different fields. Can't wait for Extra Pendulum to be released >_>

.A person had lightening storm (which I had the Solemn Judgement to keep me alive) into ash into maxx c into an effect veiler as a decoy monster into a second maxx c that i play into that of course gets him niberu and the third maxx c. All on the worst connection ever with activation set up on every phase. Sky Striker players will fight to the death over the last bite of something.

That grass is dead for now. Long live the play set of Ash Blossoms I have now. Ultimate Paleo Frogs incoming.

Kaiser Colosseum in Sky Striker deck is too powerful lol. I have kept one copy of it but now I think I should keep 3. Since my deck usually only has one monster on the field, the opponent cant summon more than 1 monster and thus they cant proceed with their combos.

Its down right Nasty. Thats the guy who did the 7 traps/counters against me had that. I just couldnt chew through it. With a negate deck! I would say go for it.

Ive been on a tear. Got my Prank Kids back online after a very lucky 10 pack. Also dabbling in Metal Foes and Frightfurs. My main account seems to be fusion based.

I love Paleos and Toad but it can be blowout fest 2022. Sometimes you have the hand for that and sometimes you dont. The donts feel really bad

I was running it in Draco, but found it useless when going second and clogging my hand more often than not after awhile. Although I think it would be better in Striker since it's easier to get a monster on board for you guys.

I made it to Platinum on my main account, and both the duel in Gold1 that put me into Plat5 and my first duel in Plat5 were amazing.

The duel in Gold1 that put me in Plat5 was against an Atlantean/Mermail water deck. At one point, my opponent had Trishula Zero Dragon of the Ice Barrier (which cleared my field), the water attribute Elemental Lord (which made me discard my entire hand), and some big rank 7 Xyz monster whose name I can't remember. I had no cards on the field or in my hand and was staring down those three big monsters, but between graveyard effects and well-timed removals (including getting rid of the Elemental Lord first and triggering its downside that the opponent had to skip their next battle phase) I was able to claw back into it, clear the opponent's big monsters out, set up Vanity's Fiend with March of the Monarchs protecting it, and eventually win.

Then right after that, my first duel in Plat5 was an hour-long, 24-turn odyssey against a Sky Striker deck. I kept disrupting their plays with Domain and Vanity's/Majesty's Fiend, while they kept disrupting my attacks with Quaking Mirror Force and getting rid of my big monsters by stealing them with Widow Anchor and then sending them to the grave with some other Sky Striker card they had. Going into the final turn, I had 800 LP and none of my tribute monsters out but a few fodders in defense mode, my opponent had 1300 LP and no cards left protecting them except their last set copy of Quaking Mirror Force that they had grabbed with Duality, and both of us had no cards in our hand and less than 10 cards in our decks... then I top-decked Jinzo, summoned it to stop their trap, and attacked for game.

These two duels were the most fun I've had playing Yu-Gi-Oh in a very long time.

That sounds amazing. I love duels like that. I have those with my Thunder Dragons a lot. Mostly because people dont read effects which causes them to waste 1 or even 2 destroys/board wipes. All the while with me having Thunder Dragons in grave to banish to accelerate me further!

I have to ask though. Main deck Jinzo? Youre a straight mad lad!

My favourite duels are definitely one with the dragonmaid and the red eyes. In the latter one, I started with 3300 LP because the opponent managed to summon Meteor Black Comet Dragon as well as use Inferno Fire Blast to deal a total of 4700 damage before my turn even started. Then I managed to cling with just 700 points thanks to Shizuku. After that though, I turned the tables.

Skill drain only negates on field effects. So any monster effect that activates while in the hand, GY, or banish zone can play around it.

Actually had a couple duels not playing the same tier 1 deck as everyone else. Red Eyes and Kragen. Although the Kragen player switched to crooked cook as soon as I started winning. But then they had to summon kragen again to out my piercing monster. They didn't realizing shadoll schism counts attribute on the field so it got rid of his cook before he could use its effect to go back on the defensive.
