Seems like more fake news but apparently Fauci neglected to admit under oath that the US had been involved with a lab in Wuhan where they think the virus came from or some shit?

it was developed under him and they began to be distributed in the last two months of his presidency, and he also had to make as many people survive until distribution as possible

It's funny because there is plenty of legitimate criticism to be made about Fauci, but it basically amounts to him not doing enough to take the pandemic seriously, but then that would be a tacit admission from right wingers that we should've done more

Then again, looking hypocritical isn't really something that tends to stop them. I'm sure some do criticize the right stuff, but the conspiracy angles are almost always more attractive

You're right, it's not up for debate, as in people aren't debating this. That doesn't sound like anything nefarious to me anyway. Funding virology research does not equal coordinating to produce a bioweapon

So much stupid in one fucking post. Trump and Biden have had an IDENTICAL approach to the vaccine rollout, with the few variations only happening *after* the vaccination became available. Bear in mind Pfizer is on record as having chosen to delay announcing the vaccine until after the 2020 presidential election.

Do you honestly think Trump or his administration had any involvement in a legacy science project when scientists weren't on speaking terms with Trump? He very likely wouldn't have even been briefed. And if it came up on a spending bill, it would have been one of thousands of line items at that point.

He could have genuinely been asking, regardless it isn't a very strong denial if it is one, or much debate going on in general. And why even bring it up if you're not trying to imply something? It comes off like a "just asking questions" type guy

But if you want my opinion. No I don't think anything nefarious happened. It was apparently written into their contract or whatever that the funding was not to be used for gain of function research. But if fauci did lie about that then it's worth investigating I suppose. But I'm not sure if he did or not because I haven't really researched that or anything

this is actually something I would like to know more about but I don't think talking about it here would be very productive

the issue between Paul and Fauci is that Fauci said they "were not funding gain of function research there", and then it was learned that yes, USA was funding research there, but then Fauci says "yeah but it's not gain of function", and then Paul says "it's gain of function by your own definition", and then Fauci says "nuh-uh", and that's as far as I've seen that go so far. (haven't seen video in OP yet.)

It's clear nobody here really looked into this.
The issue is that there was a proposal submitted to DARPA seeking funding for gain of function research specifically on COVID. DARPA rejected the proposal citing concerns of the hazardous nature and the GoF moratorium. The NIAID under the direction of Fauci then approved the proposal and funded the WIV project. Something Fauci outright denied under oath to congress. To top it off, the military investigation found that documents pertaining to the research were intentionally moved off site to conceal information.
I know it doesn't jive with your cozy narrative people, but you should probably try reading the fucking documents rather than pretend you have some kind of intellectual clairvoyance.
