Fun-fact: KFC bakes their chicken which is why it's chalky and mediocre compared to actual fried chicken.

I liked the Beyond Meat chicken substitute when I could find it at stores around here. It's great for like grilled strips for tacos or for adding to a pasta dish.

I never try them, but from what I've heard from others who have (including people who used to eat meat but turned vegan recently for health-related reasons), nearly all fast food meat substitutes are absolute garbage.

The only one I've ever heard anyone say anything good about is Burger King's Impossible Burger.

majority of fast food places are just using impossible brand products, so they're all generally good

I dunno if I would try this. If I could try a sample before I spend money on it , then Ill go from there

I really sont like plant based meats. All the companies do is scream IM BETTER THAN MEAT PAY ATTENTION TO MEEEEEEEEE Which is kinda a red flag.

You are correct, sometimes advertisement isn't about proclaiming your strengths, sometimes, it's about getting attention. So when you are purchasing a product, you are drawn to the product that you remember from before.
For example: byond meat is currently one of the major fake-meat products? Why? Because they have put forward and effort in marketing and having joint products with fast food companies.

Because it brings attention to the brand, the fast food brand, and customers to try out the product.

Which is their point, to bring people in.

It you want chicken flavored fava bean, just cook them in chicken broth. It you need it in shaped paste form, just mash them, shape them into "fingers" and bake them. They will be healthier, cheaper and you can season them to your personal taste.

Like chicken that has been drained of 2/5 of its already mild flavor. It's good accompanied with other things where chicken is only really there for a source of texture and protein.

Forget hamburgers, hotdogs, and a good old steak and lobster dinner. A bacon and cheese sandwich with the bread replaced by fried chicken is the most American food meal ever.

Id try it if offered for free but since it sounds like itd just be worse by default im not going to spend money on it.

Except the point is to be vegan/vegetarian, so cooking them in chicken broth kind of ruins the point.

They're not bad but I wouldn't call it "good". Especially compared to actual meat.
