Honestly though, the team that played better did not win this game.

And a Patriots win as picks currently stand moves it from a 5 way tie for 11th to a 6 way tie for 9th.

Things have gotten a lot tighter recently.

A Colts win puts us exactly where we started: A 4 way tie for 12th.

I'm not even counting the other Saturday game at the moment. The Browns may not even be able to field a team.

I don't think I'd feel safe even with a couple of games buffer. Feels like I'm always one bad week from dropping out of the playoff spots and being unable to recover

Correct. Catching people and forcing absurdly large ties is fun and all but ultimately all that really matters is who you pass.

A 6 way tie for 9th is barely less precarious than a 4 way tie for 12th. All you really want is a buffer over 13th. My rule is generally to start playing safer if I'm up as many games as there are weeks left in the season and the bye isn't anywhere near within reach. I already feel prettty comfortable in the other league at 4 games up on 13th/5 games up on 14th.

Two years ago I entered week 17 three games out of 12th and effectively bet my entire season on the Jets in a week that saw me jump up to 8th. Advice would be to know what hill you want to die before it gets to that. Someone who was in 6th went crazy with the upsets trying to get into 4th for the bye and ended up out of the playoffs entirely.

Eagles -2.5 is now Eagles -12/were.

I already had Washington falling off but weee.

I feel hesitant to switch to the Raiders though. I probably will but something about it just doesn't feel right.

I mean the league in the end got to add one more day to it's schedule which means better ratings so they're fine~

Saturday is reserved for "let's take advantage of college football's downtime".

The NFL had a specific set of Sunday games eligible to be moved to Saturday.

Raiders/Browns and Pats/Colts were the best two on that list for this week.

My gut tells me Indy has a good shot at winning, and I'm not sure which scenario is better for me as a Titans fan. I guess it depends on whether we beat Pittsburgh tomorrow!

And really, my 1pm games tomorrow are the Dolphins -9.5 over the Jets and the Cowboys -11.5 over the Giants.

At least tonight will be an actually competitive game, and I get home from work right as it starts. I'll take it~

Tomorrow early is basically just watching ESPN's scoreboard.

Indy has yet to win a home game that matters and almost lost at home to the Jags.

I'll take them to stop giving games like this away when they actually stop doing it.

I've done essentially nothing but treat the Colts like 9th place team/first round out 7 seed for like 8 weeks.

They're probably headed for the 6 seed now.

Which could mean a rematch with New England!
