D

i struggle to wake up early if i don't have to be at work or school or something. i also can't fall asleep right after i get home from work. need a few hours to rewind and then still takes a couple hours to fall asleep.

E is pretty bad too and i was miserable doing that shift.

D for sure. For (E) I like midshifts actually, less traffic on the road and generally quieter and less BS to deal with. (Also only 8 hours? lol)

D just sucks because like... you sleep all day then go to work? What kind of annoying disruptive shit is that

You kind of exposed a bias. It really just matters what time those around you also work. If your friends all worked 3pm-11pm, you'd probably be better off doing the same.

I gotta go with E, though that's mainly because it conflicts with my daily cycle.

I have done A, D, and E shifts at different points.

Now I'm on 5 am - 5 pm.

Ive workes all three and D is my least fave.

Overnights is quieter, less management, and sonetimes comes with wage premium

Afternoons often had the disgruntled managers who are pissed they aren't on days. There is no wage premium and its often just as busy as days. It completely fucks your sleep schedule, too.

C is best.

I currently work a 4 10s schedule, so 6:30AM-5:30PM. It's nice having an extra day off but I really hate waking up that early. Would be almost tempted to trade it for a 9-5 M-F.

E should have been 100% voted. It's not good for your health to be working in that schedule and it fucks up with hanging out with friends and family on days off. You can't just have a normal schedule on the weekend. The changes in hrs is going to fuck you up.

I remember working alternating shifts of 230am to 3pm for a printing press 10 years ago. The days were alternating every week too, so you can throw school out of the window. The company was shady AF as well and I'm glad I left sooner.

Working 3-11pm isn't terrible but it it arguably the second worst choice in the pill. That being said, you still can have relatively normal sleeping hours and you can get a lot of errands during the day without taking days off. Gym, Dr appointments, car repairs... hell, interviews for another job too
