Llamachama 09/09/21 6:19:41 AM #1:	I'm really into Harmontown lately. I've been listening from the start, still only in the 2013 episodes. I also recently discovered Old Gods of Appalachia. Really good story anthology podcast about eldritch horror stuff taking place in the early 1900s. Some other ones I've listed to or am listening to; Lore, Pretend Friends, ContinueCast, Dan Carlin's Hardcore History, Critical Role, Getting On with James Urbaniak, Radiolab. What are some of your favorites and why do you like/recommend them? --- Strong people stand up for themselves. If you count any regular audio content, including vtuber streams then the list goes on very long. Depends on what a "podcast" is defined as. Does a television show like PBS Newshour count as a podcast? There are channels I follow like hazel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjNErCQgCndSOl6t33m1-nQ) that do regular long form video essays. Llamachama 09/09/21 7:00:51 AM #7:	The definition of podcast is, "a digital audio file made available on the internet for downloading to a computer or mobile device, typically available as a series, new installments of which can be received by subscribers automatically." I think that because the visuals are not necessary for the audio to make sense, it's just a visual addition and the audio can stand alone, you could pass it as a podcast. But you wouldn't call a show like game grumps a podcast because some, if not most the audio content depends on the visuals to land. --- Strong people stand up for themselves. Its a cricket show that does match reviews etc. Not to be confused with live TMS that does the match commentary. 2) Science In Action 3) CrowdScience 4) The Inquiry Those 3 are some BBC World Service radio shows I listen to in podcast format but I don't count those because you can just catch them on their regular radio slots. 5) Office Hours. This is from science guy Kyle Hill on YT. He has a video podcast called Office Hours I watch. But I don't count that either a podcast is audio only for me. And not just regular ones. Like their first one was Video Game Expendables. They also did Marvel, Ghostbusters, and Pokmon, among othersDefinitely makes me laugh, and got me more into TTRPGs The Cracked Podcast - Similar to the site, they talk about a lot of Pop Culture stuff. My favorite was probably the Soap Opera one. Sadly, I havent heard it in a while. And I dont think the one on YouTube is the full thing It can make me laugh sometimes Welcome to Night Vale - This is like a parody news show about a fictional town (and fictional rival town). But the town is absolutely insane. So, its Avery weird, but enjoyable Fairy Tales for Unwanted Children - It like weird stories, which should be fairy tails with lessons. But the lesson arent always clear. And they can get pretty dark is some cases But they are intriguing, to say the least Dead Meat Podcast - They have many different topics, usually about horror movies. I started watching their YouTube videos (Kill Count), and heard about the podcast and started listening.
