In better news, we have now gone 18 consecutive rounds without losing a new character! 8 of the final 65 are newbies, which from a brief scan of past results is a very good showing! Edit: The only year that matches this since the first few contests is XIX (I think), where the final 8 newbies were Minwu (3rd), Ariana, Echo, Umaro, Layle, Prompto, Vayne, and Maechen.
