Talk to any high school teacher. Most are forced to change grades at the end of semesters. The kids held behind are the exception, not the rule.

Admins are dumb, but I doubt I find one who'd put it in writing.

Im left leaning, don't think I have any real 'right' beliefs. I don't know where I stand on trans athletes in women's sport, there are obviously biological differences between those that are born male and female, and there's the subject of intersex and whether should be given treatment to reducer testosterone.

Ultimately I think it should be under the direction of women's sport authorities, which I as a guy have no say in. Sort of sitting on the fence, obviously.

You're telling somebody else, likely in a worse off situation than yourself that they do not require the ability to protect themselves with the same level of force that they would be exposed to if robbed/attacked. Which would be fine if either of us had faith in the police, but that's not the case.

Telling somebody to abandon the means with which to defend themselves while knowing the alternative isn't actually viable just screams soapbox preaching to me. You don't know the circumstances of other people and you shouldn't act like you do.

Concerning immigrants, I think there should be more focus on assimilation, rather than letting immigrants do their own thing all they want. Settling in a new country means having to abide and live by certain new rules and customs that you weren't used to before. It is ok if people maintain part of their culture, but not integrating enough causes mutual friction, distrust and conflict.
