Ehh, not really. While I'm extremely materialistic, most of my material possessions are tied to the experience of using them in some way. I don't own things just to own them. Like how I have a massive library, but I've read every book in it multiple times. Or how I own physical copies of all my games and movies, but I don't strictly value them simply because I own them, but because of the content of them.

So I suppose what I'm saying is that neither possessions nor experiences alone satisfy me, as much as the two things combined.

It used to be possessions, now its experiences

ie - I was a mad Sonic merch collector who easily spent thousands on plushies, comics, exclusives, things you could only get overseas..

Now I've just lost interest and rather take my son out to somewhere he's never been or really enjoyed and have a good time

I watch streamers in Japan on Twitch going to those video game dedicated areas.. my 20 year old self would have given anything to be in those places.. now I'm wondering who buys all that crap

It depends.
Experiences create memories and maybe relationships. I love those but possessions are a must in my day to day life and I like holding physical things.

I can't remember experiences anymore, so I guess possessions that give good ongoing experiences is my thing.
