So you get these weird characters that are into punk rock and other stuff that was popular in the 90s sporting strange hairstyles and other odd fashion accessories that look like nothing people in real life wear. An old writer for DC even wrote an article about why he thinks that is the case now and that his children and his children's friends all read manga and not a single one of them care about Marvel or DC.
