The best thing about Republicans is that they have almost no platform. Seriously. The only bills they are trying to push as a whole are chipping away at voting rights and free speech. Yeah, they are also trying to find an in against abortion and being shitty about easy shit that everyone cares about (climate change, welfare), but they don't have a big push for those. Compare what Republicans did in 4 years to what the Dems have done without a super majority in 1 year.

I'm in the camp that government is gonna do what government is gonna do. The beauty of state rights is if you don't like it you could go where it suits you more. You wanna be a right wing country bumpkin? Go for it, there's rural states that share your sentiment. Wanna be a left wing city slicker? Again there's states that have big cities you could go to.

The states are just there to see what works and what doesn't. The non rotating powers are what really run the show. I think someone told me that more densely populated areas are more likely to be left and less populated ares are right. Idk if that means anything or if it shows who's really being ignorant in their views.

If some life issues are bad, then why does it matter what's good. This is saying that what happens to other people doesn't matter if it doesn't effect you personally. As long as they happen to the others or only hurt you a little bit, then it's ok.

I don't know how people act as if the decisions of lawmakers are somehow outside of society and don't affect it.

The only thing that truly worries me is unlike Democrats, Republicans can't separate their political views from their duties.
Case in point, those conservative cops that let that crowd storm the capitol, even to the point of taking pictures.
Some of them couldn't take the consequences of their actions and committed suicide in fears of losing everything that they had left, once they were tried for their crimes.

Because we've already established that if the republicans lose the election, they can just say it was rigged, and most republicans will believe them. Not only that, but they can effectively tell conservatives to overthrow the "rigged" government, and the people responsible would need a miracle to even get a slap on the wrist.

And the Democrats are completely afraid of doing anything to "rock the boat" when the conservatives are actively trying to sink it. So we're kind of ****ed.
