It's because asian hate isn't widespread. People hate China but not Chinese people. This has all been perpetuated because of that one massage parlor shooting and it wasn't even conclusive that he did it because they were asian. He was just some weird incel with sexual frustration.

Then the media tried to use that subway attack on the old asian lady as a way of showing that white on asian hate crime was rampant before it came out it was a black person. I've literally heard pretty much nothing in the media since except for the hash tag. Targeted racial attacks against blacks AND whites are still far more rampant in the US than any white or black on asian violence. How about we just #StopHate instead of trying to divide everyone based on race?
