So it's worth noting that IQ measures your degree of cognitive development compared to people of your same age group - the entire scoring system is based around standard deviation relating to your developmental peers. You aren't necessarily the same IQ for your entire life - much like growth spurts in school, where you can go from being the tallest kid in the class to being average height at best, someone can start out with a significantly high IQ but develop slower than their peers and wind up being much closer to average (100). So testing someone at age 2 is pretty much meaningless, and is only really a thing so their parents can masturbate over how much of a wonderful genius baby they have and then live vicariously through them. It's like those creepy beauty pageants where the girls are like 5 years old and clearly don't really want to be there, but their parents are utterly obsessed and driven and determined to win. In both cases, the attention is probably more damaging to the child than it is motivating them to future success. That being said, it's also kind of worth noting that, as much as the average layperson tends to think it means something, Mensa is kind of a joke. People tend to think intelligence = success in the same way that people believe that money = happiness.
