That didn't give me many leads but I decided to run the name through a search engine since it was pretty unique. Luckily I found a few things that tend to make me think the youtube user and imugur user was the same guy who posted. So, I can now answer your question. He did survive nobody actually helping him and went on to spawn a daughter named emily (who doesn't like pants).
