Or that the show doesn't revolve around those mechs fighting? Because generally speaking, most shows featuring mechs are going to have those mechs fight. Big O only popped up when Roger needed to fight another giant mech or monster, for instance. Kikaider: The Animation has fights, but a large part of that is a robot struggling with his "humanity" Bonemiser posted... The protagonist happens to own a mech but there's barely any combat after the first episode.
