Ah okay. Yeah I generally avoid pure penny stocks. I guess if your criteria is like "share price less than $0.10" then yeah BIGT seems like it has a ton more upside than most of them which are just money traps.

But I mean here's the thing-- I don't see BIGT at having more than 2-3x upside in the fairly short term because it's simply not worth more than that-- R/S is going to be how they achieve higher share price to be listed. I'd put that upside into most of the ones I listed.

Yeah, I'm agreeing with you more and more. It's reversing well right now, but I was reaaally hoping it would drop to like .02 because then I think it could be a five bagger in less than a week. I'll take that over a long term speculative hold tbh.

I moved to the southeast, largely to get away from the cold weather, and when this recent storm took away my power for three days and I saw the uranium stocks go up, it made me realize that thats a huge opportunity for nuclear energy growth. I reckon the southern states will learn (the hard way) from this recent weather issue and such forms of energy will go up.

What price did you get in at?

Lol. If it drops significantly then I am faced with selling for a huge loss versus holding. I will hold because I do not want to lose that amount and have no better plays. I sold FPVD today because I felt DNN was a better play. I suppose I could sell DNN for a huge loss if another stock looked better to me, but I dont think that will happen.

I dont think DNN goes above $3 anytime soon, if ever. I think $2 is the mark.

FPVD has recovered like 30% from when you sold already lol

Moonroof, please read this. It is about position sizing. The result is counterintuitive - the most aggressive position sizing on average does not lead to the fastest gains.

And I do legit feel DNN is more likely to get him his money back sooner than BIGT. I'll be selling March covered calls on my shares in a few days (again, after Feb 19) to bring my cost down and I'm not going to be selling the $2.5s. I'll be selling the $4s

Speaking of if you really don't think it's going to get above $2.5, roof, you should sell March 19 $2.5 calls with all your shares. That will let you reclaim $0.2 per share. Just make the point to never buy those calls back.

(Or you could wait for a green day and sell them for more)

I dont understand why all of a sudden DNN is being viewed as a bad company to invest in, but only if its with a lot of money. I get that its a low-priced stock and had a recent surge, I get those two variables. And I also get that I 100% misplayed FPVD, but that company has nothing to do with DNN.

If the only caution is, you misplayed FPVD and will therefore sell DNN too early, then okay. I know I will hold DNN for the reason I listed earlier. But I do not understand why people are down on DNN suddenly.

Well I wouldn't put 50% of my Portfolio (I think 70k is around that for you?) into many things

DNN included, despite being really bullish on it

Was discussing this with voltch and like I was like "uhh... Disney, Apple... uhhh, Starbucks... Toyota?"

I don't think anyone is saying DNN is a bad investment; just that it's too big an allocation. It has nothing to do with FPVD, except that the same problem (too big an allocation) was present with FPVD. DNN is a much more stable company than FPVD and probably should get a much higher allocation, but 50% of your portfolio is like......you might do that with a company you know in and out, that you've researched for months. Maybe.

Ah, I see. Too high a percentage rather than value. Makes sense. I think Im going to be stubborn and keep it in here though, I feel like I need a break from looking at the market all day everyday. Ill keep my eyes on just this one in case it goes up a crazy amount, but Im not expecting that to happen in the immediate future.

I am also in DNN.

Expecting this to happen based on research is the only reason I would put 50% of my portfolio in something for quick bucks. But research is the key word there, and I do like securing profits quick on moves like those. That's how I made 50k on ENZC, but I did that with like a 20% position size, until it became like 60% position size in a week and I bounced.

Personally right now, I'm enjoying being diversified in 5 stocks I know the ins and outs of. As someone who actually likes large position sizes, 30% seems adequate for even the highest of conviction trades.

now please ignore my hypocrisy when I put 50% in the CLOUD because I am a cultist for that stock

I do this a lot since I have standardized LIFO as my tax lots. So I can do quick trades like that to also help my average on volatile ass stocks like this.

The *only* saving grace is that I didnt put a full $25k into it. Not that $17k is anything to scoff at, but putting another $55k into DNN today will hopefully someday prove better than FPVD going up 50% on $17k.

i bought 1k shares at 0.075 yesterday and then bought 10k shares at 0.04 and sold the 10k at 0.055.

Nothing makes me feel more alive than turning $400 into $500

i'll leave the other 1k shares for BigT

There's a reason so many people lose money in the stock market when they're actively managing it. As redsox often says the psychology at work actually encourages moonroof strats.

I have seen it happen before with INTC after earnings when it tanked 16% and didn't move an inch for the whole day

Even if AVCT doesn't make me a millionaire in the next couple years, I'm eternally grateful for having to hold it red for 4 months to help me not turn into a Moonroof. Turning off emotions is the best thing.
