It was great when it was just 1 or 2, but now everyone got greedy and want a bigger piece of the pie. Instead of paying ~$10 for each streaming service a month, people are just gonna go back to piracy >_> They've spoiled the pond.

Paramount+ isn't actually new. It's just CBS All Access rebranded. They wanted to move international and CBS apparently isn't well known outside the US. But Paramount supposedly is

Thankfully at the moment its easy to strategically plan your subs around what you want access to ajd what you want to watch.

All I need right now is Disney and HBO. That gets me all the Marvel and DC stuff I want, plus most of the shows I like, and then some.

Honestly Hulu and Netflix are kinda disappointing in that regard, no doubt because they literally cant get a lot of the shit HBO and Disney are hoarding.

You're not wrong. I assume in ten to fifteen years we'll start seeing services that bundle these services together for a slight discount.

What really sucks is that I can't even opt out of cable. It's bundled in at my apartment. They even recently forced me to bundle my Internet in too.

And no, no one got greedy. Studios need revenue somehow. Do you really expect paramount to just sit there when Disney and Warner Bros. are doing the same thing? It's a business. That's on you for thinking streaming services were good for anything

I really don't understand why people freak out over multiple streaming services. Just get the ones you want. Just like cable you can choose what kind of service you wanted and if you wanted the movie channels like HBO and showtime. It's basically the same thing.

I think the point is that Discovery+ is full of shows people only watch when there's nothing else on or only put on as background noise. Nobody would actually pay for those shows.

it's weird how things always seem good in the beginning until literally everybody and everybody's pal want their slice of the pie which in the end only screws over the customers. with netflix it's like 9 out of 10 new entry having the netflix logo compared to 1/10 a few years ago.

This is literally what happened with Cable. It started amazing and then it became the bloated corporate whore we reviled and ditched for Streaming. Guess who got into Streaming? All the exact fucking cable channels.

Not really. I'd be the same if any of the free ones like Crackle Tubi or whatever had anything I wanted. As it is I barely even watch a couple episodes a day between 4 or 5 shows

Alot of the free streaming apps are pretty decent luckily (Tubi, Roku Channel, Pluto TV)

This Discovery + is the last straw for me. You can watch those shows on their free streaming platforms now with ads. Now they are I am guessing phasing those out and making you pay for + which still has ads .

I have been cutting my my Streaming as of late.
I normally cycle thru different services on much HBO, on month Netflix ect.

But just redid Netflix and I am like. There is nothing here I care to watch.

Eh, still better than cable where you were paying for hundreds of channels you'll never watch. Just stop netflix for one month and start a different service that has stuff you want to watch for a month. If anything you can constantly coast on free monthly trials and pay zero dollars and watch everything on all services.

What I don't understand is people who refuse to sit through ads for a free service but won't pay for the ad-free version. I had a friend scoff at the idea of watching something for free on Crunchyroll because it would have ads and it's like, "Okay, just don't watch it at all then I guess?" Mind you this while they were talking about how much they wanted to watch it.

Maybe you can divide some subs with friends or family.
