Why do so many of my internet searches bring up SAMHSAs National Helpline as the top result?

Accomplishing goals (even small ones such as learning to cook or losing some weight) seems like something that should always bring some sort of fulfillment, obviously more impressive stuff is gonna bring more fulfillment, so set some goals

Same as most ages: By making steady (if not consistent) progress towards meaningful goals, generally while having some measure of a work-life balance.

Yeah, that's the route I'll be taking this year. I'd rather regret having a kid than regret not having one. Me and one other friend are the only holdouts without kids in our social circle.

I have some relatives that are a lot older than me who chose not to have kids and... yikes. The older I get, and the more I realize I am not gonna be there for 'em because of my own life, and neither will the other younger family members, the scarier being old and alone-ish seems. They're all married but childless, and that ship has sailed for them outside of adoption. They're okay for now, but in 15-20 years? They're probably gonna have a bad time.

Why do you think this? I am not going to have kids and I see myself having a brighter future because of it. I want them but my girlfriend doesn't and I'd rather not at this point. Kids are...monsters

If you're the sort of person who is worried about feeling "fulfillment", you're never actually going to feel fulfillment.

Things like contentment and happiness come when you're doing things you enjoy and living a life you consider worthy, which generally leaves you too busy to actually worry about whether or not you're living up to nebulous expectations or hypothetical benchmarks for "success".

Stop trying to do what you think you're "supposed" to or what other people tell you you should be doing, or comparing your life to the achievements or personas of other people.

Just figure out what makes you happy, and do it. No matter how simple or "meaningless" it might seem.

It's been suggested in the past that the invention of the concept of "happiness" or "being happy" is itself one of the major reasons why people are UNhappy - the more you worry about how happy you are the less happy you're going to be. Stop trying to be happy and you're more likely to BE happy.
