He's the most honest candidate I've seen in my lifetime. Very respectable human being, despite being a trust fund baby and being rich his whole life, his heart is definitely in the right place in a difficult world to live in.

Joe Biden wants to dismantle the 2A, and Kamala is more anti gun than he is (Joe won't make it 4 whole years). I also have concerns over court packing - if they do it why not stop when inevitably GOP controls everything again?

Also, we have peace deals being brokered in the Mid East. I've been pleasantly surprised by Trump's foreign policy.

I didn't really care about voting prior to 2016 due to the inconvenience of the process. Bernie then Trump helped to inspire me though. They seemed different from the typical politicians I had seen before. I'm on the #TrumpTrain because Bernie didn't make it out of the primaries.

My dad told me he thinks Trump is a genius and I remember him and my brother asking me if I was enjoying my extra money on my tax returns (??). Which is funny considering I lose money as my parents claim me as independent even though I'm not, but that's another story...

• I'm saving easily over $1,000 each year because of his tax cuts. It's not life changing, but it's more than I would have had otherwise and some larger families are literally saving thousands.
• It bothers me to some degree how our government has become full of insiders that make a lifetime career out of it. Trump was and still is an outsider. Though he's wealthy and well connected, realistically, how is a middle class outsider ever going to win? I think a shake up is good.
• I supported his idea of a wall to help curb illegal immigration. Is it impenetrable? No. Will it help? Absolutely. Is it crazy unreasonably expensive compared to some of the other things we spend money on? No. I always found it odd people claimed they didn't want it because of the cost. I think they didn't want it for other reasons...
• I support his past and hopefully future Supreme Court picks
• I support his idea of staying out of wars and conflicts that drag on for years and years. I think we've done a pretty good job overall regarding that.
• Buy American, Hire American, America first. I don't think these things are unreasonable, but felt he was the only one saying it at the time. I sometimes feel like patriotism has become a "bad" thing in recent years. Doesn't make sense to me.
• To me the left has gone further left than the right has gone further right, but we all have our opinions on that. I feel I just cannot get on board with some of the things I perceive the left to support.

Dislikes:

• He tweets way too much
• He can certainly be "un-presidential" at times
• He hasn't handled everything under the sun how I would have wished for him to. "You can't always get what you want"
• If I could have a president less boisterous than him, I would. But that's simply not an option right now and I'm not going to simply vote for someone with a more "tame" personality on those traits alone

It's okay! As funny as it sounds, I think a big part of it was the fact I basically grew up online whereas my brother didn't. I was lucky enough to be exposed to many different viewpoints.

I just read that article you sent. some of the stuff he said was weird, no doubt. Maybe a little inappropriate. But I've definitely said worse things than that. I can't hold him accountable for the statements when guys make comments like that all the time. you have to hold yourself to the same standard as you do the president.
