If she wins I'm coming back 1 more year for Sephiroth/Aerith here and LoGH in SMFAS and quitting everything forever thereafter. Though realistically next year should be the last year in any case, when it's fun, it's fun, but the last 3 weeks not so much. My personality just isn't suited for stuff like this, it's obsessive and unhealthy and I can't turn it off, at least at this time in my life, but probably ever.

...though that's how I feel right now and I'm sure I'll be right back here 12 months from now again, lol.

SMFFFC really does become more stressful towards the end. I miss the days where all I had to worry about was trading once for the mighty Leblanc knowing she'd be safe as long as I showed up

It's hard to contain all that power without injuring yourself though.

I've been more distracted with real life stuff this year so it's probably been less stressful, but also all of my mains got out sooner because of that

But Red and Squall I consider secondary mains anyway so it's worked out relatively well considering

I feel like for me the opposite would be more calming. Saving regularly in the first half where there's a ton of fun characters, lower stakes and you can single handedly assure a couple characters' safety. Then just popping in to save a main til top 25 or so and then peacing out because it gets far too stressful then >_>

Oh no really? I liked yesterday's slow trickle of saves making it easy to decide when to save and not panicking about making the wrong call. How many saves is it gonna be today, 24?

See the first half of the game is the stress bomb for me, since I have so many characters I want to save and so few votes. And once you commit to a few, people start to rely on your saves there and become less likely to save them themselves while they carry their other pet projects through.

But even seeing my number one struggle and get eliminated in the bottom half, it wasn't stressful at all for me this time since I was set on this plan.

Then I got to screw around for a while in the mid-game, giving a little extra juice to one of my lower priority favs (Agnes) and boosting a few others.

Then come endgame I got to hop onto one of my favs that already had a solid system around him (as any character who made the top 20 does) and get to reap the fun and benefits of the late game run with none of the stress of the build-up and getting there part (which I think is the hardest).

Obviously different for each person, but after coming back last year at the end and jumping in and feeling way different (better) about this series than I have in years I know for me that this is the way to go.

That being said, I will throw all of this away for exactly two things at this point: A real dedicated Selphie Redoomtion run or a Ross Boss push.

I see the merit to your way of thinking, I just feel like if my mains were to go out when I wasn't paying attention (or get booted) it'd bother me more, if I get them to top 50/30 wtv at least it's a respectable position. But yeah this is my first year so you're the expert, I'm probably gonna be a full-contest person for a bit yet.

My current next year priority is, as already said, Rinoa, and ofc Tidus and hopefully some new characters from games I haven't yet played! Then probably once they're all out shift to Yuna for the endgame assuming that YRP push works out.

23 saves Day 97
25 saves Day 98

You would think the increase from 22 to 23 saves wouldn't be much... but looking at it the other way, max possible saves go down from 109 to 91. Considering we routinely get 60 saves in the first hour, count up the number of saves that happen on page 1, and you can do the math.

Surprised Ellone and Xu haven't made it in before given the kind of runs that seem to work here. Didn't know NORG has been in, so who hasn't... Angelo, Raine, Julia, Zone, Watts, PuPu, Ma Dincht, Jumbo Cactuar, Tonberry King, Griever... much to think about.

My only strong memory of playing III is the frustration of dying to the final boss after like a 2 hour dungeon with no save points.
