I felt compelled to try to as everytime I say I never had it people are like

Them - "OMG it's soooo good! I want Jesus to come down and cover me in the sauce. I would sacrifice my first born for the lemonade..I would.."

Me - "I'm gay"

Them - "I'm not a bad person, I just think they have a good sandwich"

I wanted to try it, just so I can give my opinion on the actual taste. I can now safety say it's overrated.

It is pretty overrated. Not worth the price.

I will give a nod to the service. They were very nice. I know the company is pretty strict about that kind of stuff as well though.

If it has any distinguishing characteristic, it would be it's service.

I find Popeye's to be vastly overrated. If I want to go to a chain for chicken, I'd far rather go to KFC. I find their chicken to be way better in general than anything Popeye's has.

Though to be honest, if I want chicken, I generally don't go to a chain. I either make my own at home, or I go to a local Italian place and get a parm or something.

Ive never understood the obsession some people have with this place. I think McDonalds has chicken sandwiches that are in the same ball park as theirs... nothing special. Ill give them credit for the super good customer service.

I live in IL, and have a buddy who married a girl from GA. When the first Chick-Fil-A opened in IL, it was a 2 hour drive away. She had the family make the drive down to it for the grand opening, wait in a 2 hour line for food, and then have the drive home. A 6 hour trip for mediocre fast food.

While I respect the fact that Chik-fil-A has consistent values (unlike companies that merely just into an issue to pander) -- including their decision to forgo massive profits to let workers spend their Sundays with family (because something like that is how you really test a company's commitment to its beliefs) -- I've never been a fan of their food, etc.

I prefer McDonald's chicken sandwiches to any other fast food place's chicken sandwiches, but they don't have the same kind of chicken selection as a chicken place. If I'm doing KFC, Popeyes, etc, I'm not having a chicken sandwich.

And honestly, with all this chicken sandwich talk, you'd think that was the only kind of chicken anybody sells >_>

Something that the groups CFA donated to didn't try to block but, more importantly, if those were the only ones having kids, society would collapse because you'd have a sudden massive decrease in the birthrate since LGBTQ people make up an absurdly small amount of the overall population.

Foster homes are a thing. It's not like they're all just in giant kid prison camps or anything. Plus, as a general rule, most people looking to adopt want to adopt either babies or very young children who have no problem being placed. It's generally the older kids that are more likely to have problems finding permanent homes and get stuck in the system as a result.

And that's excluding the wards of the state that are taken from their biological parents where there may be logistical issues making adoption difficult.

On the subject, my cousin -- for whatever fucking reason -- wants to adopt. However, as I pointed out to him, he's a single male -- there's no way anybody would let him adopt. The adoption system has an almost-universal scorn for single males. And up until maybe the 1970s, it was just straight-up illegal for single people to adopt in most states and even now it's far harder for a single male to adopt than any other demographic.

And the biggest reason it attracts the criticism it does is because it's the largest fast food chain in its niche (technically Subway has more locations but, other than its history of hiring sex offenders to represent the company, it doesn't seem to attract much criticism for whatever reason -- and honestly, it's probably the worst of the major sandwich chains)

The biggest chains are rarely the worst chains overall because, if they really sucked, they wouldn't be able to get big in the first place. (And some smaller chains aren't so much hindered by quality as they might just lack exposure or good business practices. And, of course, a lot of mom&pop fast food places have owners who lack the business sense to create any kind of a successful chain.)

Oh I just have personal reasons I pointed it out is all. I don't think it's something most people think about honestly.

I tend to emphasis the choice aspect in that
trans people don't need to alter their bodies to be valid as trans people.

I'm aware of those unable to undergo certain aspects as well, but you are right in that a lot of people probably don't think about it.

Chic fil a customer service is always bizarrely over the top in the sense that everyone is extremely nice and kind to a weird degree but its always good. I can genuinely say that Ive never had a bad experience there.

Its McDonalds but with chicken. Why people view it as anything more than another fast food joint is beyond me.

I dont really like their chicken sandwiches or fries (not a fan of waffle fries). I do like the nuggets with chick-fil-a sauce, though. And the lemonade. And the shakes, but havent had them in a while. The line is too long for me, though. That being said, they have been doing stuff to make it go faster...

My sister, on the other hand, loves it. Goes like everyday...

Popeyes is so trashy though, especially the one near me. They had someone with a certain disease working there, to be vague about it. I haven't eaten there or at popeyes in general ever in my life nor do I eat at KFC anymore (probably ate KFC 3-4 times tops in the last decade), though KFC is just way too trashy and overpriced anyway.

it's ok but they recently launched the new popeye's sandwich in canada and i like it quite a bit better (and it's also way more readily available; chick-fil-a only has two locations in toronto right now)
