In general when criticizing people it's better to say the thing they are saying is racist, rather than the person is racist. I almost never say "you are racist" but rather "that (in reference to what they said) is racist." If I'm talking about someone who is always racist, then I say "x person is always posting racist propaganda" or something like that.

Criticizing the thing they say is generally better than criticizing the person. In general, not just to avoid getting moderated.
