Only played Blood Dragon out of the Far Cry games, didn't get very far into it

It's a pretty fun game imo, though the AI is wonky, co-op is kind of lame in that only the host's progress is saved, and the forced story mechanics are pretty stupid though at least relatively uncommon.

I'd ask why you didn't get far into Blood Dragon though?

You can co-op the whole thing it is pretty awesome. I really don't understand the hate it gets, but I'm assuming all of them played it solo which is never as fun.

Yes. Running and gunning is the best way to play by a long shot imo. I was bored as fuck when I first tried a loose stealth game. Just go in and go straight to the action. It's designed for it. Definitely keep it on normal difficulty at first tho. Without stealth it's obviously harder overall.

4 has a cool setting, Ill give you that. I never got around to beating 4, but just beat 5 and primal back to back.

Primal was good, but the fact that youre required to farm hella materials to actually finish the game, sucks. Like you had to get everyone to a level 2 hut, before fighting the final boss

Far Cry 3 and 4 are much better games but for $8 Far Cry 5 is a bargain price.

Be aware though that the 5th game is fucking annoying as shit with the bullshit religious garbage it never STFU about.

I don't mind the story as much as I mind games that keep putting you in slowmo while giving you little tiny scraps of dialogue every 10 seconds. A 3-4 minute sequence that could of took 30 seconds. It's a fuckin brain dead action game, play your part >_>

The religious garbage is what pissed me off, and then the whole ending besides the secret ending also pissed me off with how fucking stupid it is.

In the New Dawn game I happily made a choice that should have been there in FC 5 and mutilated the body.

Fuck the peggies and all they stand for.

I can agree with this. 4 did everything that 3 did well, but had a way better story and antagonist. And Primal really surprised me.

Not sure where I'd put 2. I liked it a bunch, but the lack of stealth elements is pretty noticable after playing the newer ones. As for Blood Dragon, I'd rather replay the first FC than go through that one again >_>

Not gonna lie, I never beat it. And the times I get back to it, I'm so checked out of the story I'm just irritated everytime it slows me down. I think I stopped in the middle of a slow ass story section and that's why I haven't went back

Can you though? I've never found the co-op on any Ubisoft games to be functional.

The co-op in Ghost Recon: Wildlands was perfect. Progress was saved for all players, you could replay missions, and the map was based on the progress of the host so if your friend just started playing you could join them and help them clear everything out.

I don't know what it was like in Breakpoint.

Far Cry 5 was terrible just because it was only worth it for the host.

yeah it was pretty fun. I liked the friendly characters better than the ones in 4, but the forced story stuff was kind of annoying. the bad guy isn't as good as Pagan Min

but the forced story missions actually make sense plotwise when you realize: you've been getting kidnapped and brainwashed the whole time

FC 4 only improved what was great about 3, but the reason people keep pushing 3 is because of the story and characters.

It is the most immersive of the FC games and you see a great progression from helpless scared college boy to I am Rambo.

It plays like garbage vs the moment to moment combat of 4 or 5. I'd say 5 has the best combat by far. Considering you're in combat most of the time, this is a significant consideration.

I liked ND to the person that asked, picked it up cheap.

Don't to looking for story at all though. It is mindless fun.

You have a town and weapons to upgrade, and bandits to stomp. Just turn your mind off and have fun if that is what you are looking for.

I really liked the fact you could pick your favorite weapon and up grade the shit out of it, turning anything into a killing machine.
