  1. Elite Crackdown Full Quarantine SHUT. DOWN. EVERYTHING. - 4 weeks
  2. Reasonable prevention, testing, distancing and masks - 3 months
  3. Meh, who cares - 1 year
  4. Political cover-up, don't tell anyone - 2 years
  5. Dis is AMERICA, infect everyone on purpose! Lets go to infection parties and church choirs and freedom protests! - Priceless

It depends on whether there really is immunity after exposure or a viable vaccine can be produced, or if people can become reinfected or the disease can mutate fast enough to bypass immunity/vaccines. If it's either of the latter it may never go away without drastic international action (such as complete worldwide lockdown). If there is immunity, it's important to remember that the Spanish Flu pandemic lasted about 2 years. It probably won't be until well into late next year before things get back to normal.

It will mutate thanks to poor handling, and cause another worldwide pandemic that's deadlier than the first, so it'll be difficult to mark the end of the first without the critical analysis of things, which we sorely lack at the moment it seems.

Months even years because it appears that the so called experts haven't a clue about how this virus works.

Yeah, crazy thing about completely new diseases is that there arent so called experts, because in order to be an expert you need to have studied something extensively which is pretty hard to do in an 8 month time period. That fact compounds when the virus itself appears to be changing.

For reference, the Black Plague last approximately 300 years, reappearing in areas about every decade. The Spanish Flu lasted 3 years.

Well, if those states that are being hit the hardest right now do what they must... it will be about 4 months. And wed have to close the borders to poorer nations that are handling this pandemic as bad as we are.

But none of this will happen. So essentially... were fucked. So fucked, that if people actually understood... theyd be straight panicking right now.

Luckily this is all a Democrat hoax. So Im sure everything will be back to normal soon.

At least.

It can be contained btw, it just has to have a very vigilant government. South Korea is done with it basically.

It really depends how you define "go on for"

We are most likely going to be required to wear masks and socially distance for a year, bare minimum. It could go on for much, much longer than that (10+ years).

But the rate of actual spread and infection should plunge with proper care. It's already mostly gone in many countries, that can be done in the US as well after a few months of a real lockdown.

Either 6-7 months, or 4 years and 6-7 months i'd say.
